Nike Swim Camp is excited to partner with Head Swimming Coach, Laura Wolff-Demaline, at Baldwin Wallace University for summer 2019! Baldwin Wallace's picturesque, welcoming campus is located in a historic community with miles of recreational parkland, and just 20 minutes from Cleveland.
Campers train each day in the B-W Recereation Center Natatorium, home of the Yellow Jackets Swimming and Diving Team. The pool is a 6-lane, 25-yard x 25-meter race course. Overnight campers reside in campus housing located a short walk from the pool and eat all meals in the campus dining hall.
The Nike Swim Camp Baldwin Wallace University is open to any and all entrants. For your safety and benefit, we recommend you have competitive swimming experience (e.g. U.S.S. age group, national qualifiers, high school swimmers, or summer league swimmers) and can swim at least 50 meters in all four competitive strokes: fly, back, breast and freestyle.

Camp Director Laura Wolff-Demaline
Laura Demaline enters her eighth season as head swimming and diving coach at Baldwin Wallace University in 2018-2019. In addition, she serves as the Assistant Coordinator of Student-Athlete Services and Co-Moderator for the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).View Laura Wolff-Demaline's Bio ⟩
During her tenure, Wolff-Demaline has coached 20 Ohio Athletic Conference champions, four OAC Divers of the Year, 53 All-OAC performers, four NCAA Division III qualifiers, three NCAA Division III All-Americans, 17 OAC Swimmers/Divers of the Week, 24 Academic All-OAC student-athletes and two Academic All-Americans. In addition, 35 school-records and four OAC records have been established in her six seasons.
Wolff-Demaline came to BW after serving as the coach of the Lake Shore Swim Club in Rocky River from 2009-2011. While there, LSSC had the most qualifiers for the Ohio High School State Championship Meet of any club program in the area. Lake Shore had multiple sectional qualifiers in both individual and relays events, and placed two swimmers at the Speedo Junior National Championship Meet.
Previously, Wolff-Demaline was a volunteer assistant men's swim coach at The Ohio State University during the 2008-2009 season. She also served as the head men's and women's swimming and diving coach at NCAA Division I Canisius (N.Y.) College from 2004-2008. While at Canisius, her team's set 41 school records and had its best finish in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference.
Wolff is a 2003 graduate of St. Bonaventure (N.Y.) University and 1999 graduate of Magnificat High School in Rocky River. She and her husband Jody resides in Avon Lake with their daughter, Adella.
This summer, Baldwin Wallace is offering one session of overnight, extended day camp (9:00am-9:00pm) option for ages 9-18. Upon arrival at camp, campers are placed in groups with other swimmers having similar abilities and goals. The camp staff accommodates your needs, keeping in consideration your experience and desire to improve.

DAY CAMP AMENITIES

• Camp hours: MON-WED 9AM-4:30PM, THUR 9AM-NOON
A detailed camper registration packet containing health/release forms, emergency contact info, and a list of things to bring will be emailed to all registered campers prior to camp. Our health and release forms do not require a doctor's signature and they will be collected on the first day of camp.
Check-in takes place at 9:00am on Monday, June 17th. On the first day of camp there will be a camp orientation meeting at 9:00am and parents are welcome to join their campers for this meeting. A detailed schedule for the week will be provided at that time.
A closing ceremony will take place at the pool 11:30 on Thursday, July 20th with camp concluding at 12:00pm.
DORM ACCOMMODATIONS & ROOMMATES: Campers stay 2-per room and are assigned by age and roommate requests. If you don't have a roommate request, you will be placed in a room with someone near your age. Boys and girls are housed on separate floors with gender specific counselors on them.

MEDICAL FACILITY: a certified trainer will be on staff at all times
SUPERVISION: The staff live in the dormitories with the campers and participate in all activities. Drugs, alcohol and tobacco are strictly prohibited, and constitute, along with general misconduct, grounds for dismissal from camp without a refund.
MEALS: Meals in the cafeteria; All meals are included for overnight campers. Lunch and dinner is included for Extended Day Campers. Meals start with dinner on the first day and end with breakfast on the last day.
- Monday, June 17th: all campers check-in at 9:00am at Carmel Hall. Pick up from pool at 4:30pm. Lunch provided
- Tuesday, June 18th: 9:00am-4:30pm with lunch included
- Wednesday, June 19th: 9:00am-4:30pm with lunch included
- Thursday, June 20th: 9:00am-11:45am - no meals provided to day campers. Camp ends at 12:00pm

Please have a team contact reach out directly to the USSC office at 1-800-645-3226 to receive a discount code to identify your group. Campers may then register through the website at their convenience and apply the coupon code during check-out.
Baldwin Wallace University
Baldwin Wallace University is located in Berea, Ohio just 20 minutes from Cleveland. The tree-lined campus is surrounded by a safe, residential neighborhood of picturesque homes. The centerpiece of athletic facilities at BW is the Lou Higgins Center, home to varsity athletics, sports and recreation programs and the School of Health, Physical Education and Sport Sciences. The Center includes Ursprung Gymnasium, the Harrison Dillard Track, Natatorium, extensive workout facilities and state-of-the-art athletic training facilities.
