Our newest location!! With performance as our passion our camps focus on maximizing swimming potential through a holistic, three-sided approach focused on mental, technical, and physical conditioning. This destination is hugely popular during the holidays!

In order for a swimmer to realize their full swimming potential they must be mentally, technically and physically fit. Contrary to popular belief, physical fitness by itself is not enough. A swimmer must also possess a high degree of mental and technical fitness.

At Peak Performance we pride ourselves in offering a balance between physical, technical and mental training. Peak 1 offers a 75/25 blend of physical and technical conditioning while Peak 2 offers a 50/50 blend of physical and technical conditioning. In addition, this camp offers an in-depth mental conditioning curriculum designed to enhance a swimmer's self-esteem, develop focus skills and improve the ability to perform in stressful situations.

Camp Details

The vast majority of competitive swimmers are in serious need of concentrated start, turn, and stroke work. It should be an ongoing process that continues throughout their swimming careers. Skills are never permanent and require constant attention and refinement. At Peak Performance Swim Camp, we offer a variety of impactful techniques and skill progressions that dramatically improve start, turn, and stroke techniques. The techniques taught are extremely adaptable meaning swimmers can continue to use them upon returning to their home pools.

PEAK 1

Open to swimmers ages 11-18 who train 5,000 yards/meters (or greater) per practice.

PEAK 1 is our most challenging camp. It is well suited for accomplished senior-level swimmers and elite-level age group swimmers. Participants must be mentally, technically, and physically prepared to endure the rigors of 4 hours of in-water training per day plus 1 hour of dry-land training per day. Approximately 75% of the total pool time is dedicated to physical conditioning; however, all sets include significant mental and technical expectations.

Rather than offer a series of generic training sets, each practice is created to reflect the group’s needs and talent level. In addition, we do not condone garbage yardage or mindless meters. Each lap of practice must have purpose!

All-together PEAK 1 includes: 9 challenging in-water training sessions, 4 dry-land training sessions, 3-4 yoga sessions, and 4 mental conditioning sessions.

Note: Peak 1 is not well suited for swimmers with swimming related injuries.

PEAK 2

Open to swimmers ages 8-18 who train between 3,000 to 5,000 yards/meters per practice.

PEAK 2 offers a 50/50 blend of technical and physical conditioning and well suited for medium to elite-level age group swimmers who have qualified for top age group competition in their state/province. Participants must possess the maturity and discipline to handle 4 hours of in-water training per day plus 1 hour of dry-land training per day. In addition, they must exhibit a high degree of technical competency and physical fitness. Participants must be able to perform all four competitive strokes and turns and the three competitive starts (front, back, relay).

Rather than offer a series of generic training sets, each practice is created to reflect the group’s needs and talent level. In addition, we do not condone garbage yardage or mindless meters. Each lap of practice must have purpose!

All-together PEAK 2 includes: 9 challenging in-water training sessions, 4 dry-land training sessions, 3-4 yoga sessions, and 4 mental conditioning sessions.

CHECK-IN
Camp Check-in and Orientation, for both swimmers and parents, will take place at the Aquatic Springs Indoor Pool. Swimmers will start camp immediately following check-in, and should arrive to camp wearing swimsuits underneath their dry-land clothing.

CAMP FINALE
Camp concludes with our special Gold Medal Award Ceremony conducted near the pool deck from 11:30-12:00pm on December 31. Parents are invited to attend and should plan to pick-up their children promptly afterwards. After the ceremony, overnight campers may then proceed to the hotel to pick-up their luggage.

GETTING TO CAMP:

EARLY ARRIVAL OPTION: We highly recommend that Overnight Campers arrive the day prior to camp. Our early arrival package includes accommodations, dinner, breakfast and supervision. (Minimum age is 11 years for overnight campers.) We are unable to receive swimmers at the hotel prior to 1:00 p.m. on December 26th, the day prior to camp commencement. Price: $150.00

AIRPORT TRANSPORTATION: A supervised shuttle service, to and from McCarran International Airport, is available. The service is offered from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on the day prior to the start of camp (December 26th) and from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on the final day of camp (December 31st). Departure flights from McCarran should be scheduled between 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. See Camp Policies for further information. We do not offer Unaccompanied Minor service. Swimmers are required to meet camp staff outside security at a designated location indicated in the camp registration packet. Price: $75.00 One-Way, $150.00 Roundtrip.

Aquatic Springs Indoor Pool

Clark County has opened its first public pool in five years. It's located in the southwest Las Vegas Valley. The Aquatic Springs Indoor Pool is located at 7025 South Fort Apache Rd right next to Wet N'Wild. It’s open year-round Monday through Saturday. There's a nearly 30,000-square-foot large main pool, a 25-meter-by-25-yard lap pool and a 1,800-square-foot pool for water aerobics and swimming lessons. There are 15 12-foot-tall sectional overhead doors that open the facility to the outside, allowing it to have the feel of an outdoor pool while being sheltered from the sun and weather.

Where can I find the Peak Health & Release Form?

In order for a swimmer to participate in the camp, the mandatory Health & Release Form must be completed, signed, and turned in BEFORE the camp commences. The Health & Release Form can be found at - swimcamp.com/forms/.

How are swimmers grouped at camp?

Lane assignments will be based on your best 100 Free time. We will ask you to email us your best 100 Free time when we send out the registration packet before camp. If you do not submit the correct time, then there is a strong chance that you will be placed in the wrong lane, and will not fully benefit from the clinic training. Thank you for your assistance!

    Amazing camp!

    February 2, 2017: Kyle looks great thanks to you. He dropped 4 seconds in his 200 IM. He's also got his dive back. Audrey is doing amazing since her visit. She took first place the 100 FL this past weekend. Max dropped another 3 seconds in his 100 BR. The kids think you're the best coach in the world.

    Great camp!

    January 23, 2016: We had our Georgia Age Group Long Course State Meet this past weekend. I had a great meet! I knocked 5 seconds off my 100 FL for first place and a AAAA Time. I also finished first in my 50 FL with another AAAA Time. All together I had 9 out of 10 best times. I came away with 7 AAAA Times and placed fourth or better in all ten races. I also took home the Long Course High Point award. I feel like I learned so much in camp and took away a lot of valuable information. I swam in a meet the weekend before the camp and had almost all best times. Coming back from camp, I wasn't expecting to get a lot of best times. Boy was I wrong! Thanks again for such a great camp.

    Simply amazing!

    January 5, 2016: Simply amazing! My son attended your Camp in Orlando this past winter and I could not believe the change in him. He arrived home late on Friday and attended a local swim meet on Saturday and Sunday. Both my husband and I were shocked when we saw him swim. His strokes and turns were amazing. He looked effortless and beat everyone off the walls. All this is just one week! He dropped a total of 39 seconds in 6 events. No small feat for a swimmer who qualified for Zones last summer. We were also taken aback by his attitude. He couldn't stop smiling or talking about the camp. You gave our son an entirely new lease on swimming. You are an amazing coach and we can't thank you enough. My son will be back next summer with a number of his teammates.
