Best Stroke Camp

Most every swimmer has a best stroke and lives for that moment in practice when the coach gives them the opportunity to swim it. We know what a thrill it can be because we were swimmers once ourselves. Our Best Stroke Camp provides swimmers with a unique opportunity to spend up to 50% of their daily swim time enhancing the stroke they love the most – it’s indeed heaven on earth! Swimmers may take advantage of this opportunity daily or the days of their choosing. Providing more time to train their best stroke accelerates performance. It would be near impossible for us to offer a camp format such as this with a large number of swimmers, so we restrict registration to ensure a 7-to-1 swimmer-to-coach ratio (the lowest in the industry). In addition to swimming, we include a daily Winning Spirit pep talk, dynamic dry-land training, and soothing yoga. Learn from the PEAK pros and get the winning edge!

Top 10 Camp

It’s finally here, a swim camp exclusively designed for the 10 & Under swimmer! At PEAK, our mission is to get swimmers off to a fast start by teaching them the skills they need to win! 10 & Under swimmers are a unique group who require extra care, attention, and patience, so we created a swim camp just for them. Our five-day format covers the three starts (front, back, and relay), the four strokes and turns, plus mini swim sets throughout the day. PEAK coaches are masters at teaching state-of-the-art technique, and our 6-to-1 swimmer-to-coach ratio is the lowest in the industry! Due to our low ratio, space is limited. Come to PEAK and get a competitive advantage!

Note: The Top 10 Camp is not a learn-to-swim program, but specifically designed for aspiring young competitive swimmers. Throughout the camp, swimmers perform multiple lengths of each stroke, including the Butterfly.

CAMP DETAILS

CHECK-IN
Camp Check-In and Orientation for both swimmers and parents will take place on the pool deck, located at the MIT Zesiger Sports and Fitness Center. Swimmers will start camp immediately following, and should arrive to camp wearing swimsuits underneath their dry-land clothing.

CAMP CHECK-IN: Monday, August 12 • 8:30 a.m. – 8:45 a.m.

If private coaching was purchased in advance with camp registration, swimmers will be assigned appointed dates/times and the schedule will be posted at Camp Check-In. Please note that Private Coaching sessions are scheduled around the coaches’ availability (between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.) and may be subject to change due to weather and/or pool conditions.

CAMP FINALE
The camp concludes at 12:00 PM on August 16. A special Gold Medal Award Ceremony will be held at approximately 11:30 AM. Parents are encouraged to attend.

CAMP SCHEDULE

Olympic Coach Nick Baker’s unique holistic training approach includes mental, technical, and physical conditioning each day of camp.

Each day’s curriculum includes: 1 hour morning dry-land session, 2 in-water sessions (morning and afternoon), mental skills training, 1 hour yoga session, and catered lunch.

WHERE CAN I FIND THE PEAK HEALTH & RELEASE FORM?

In order for a swimmer to participate in the camp, the mandatory Health & Release Form must be completed, signed, and turned in BEFORE the camp commences. The Health & Release Form can be found at - swimcamp.com/forms/.

HOW ARE SWIMMERS GROUPED AT CAMP?

Lane assignments will be based on your best 100 Free time. We will ask you to email us your best 100 Free time when we send out the registration packet before camp. If you do not submit the correct time, then there is a strong chance that you will be placed in the wrong lane, and will not fully benefit from the clinic training. Thank you for your assistance!

    Amazing camp!

    August 27, 2016: I just wanted to follow up and THANK YOU again for all you have done for Julie's swimming. The techniques you taught her, coupled with the focused Dry-Land Olympics, have made a huge impact. Since we worked with you a month ago, Julie has had two meets and dropped in every event. She also got her JO Cut in the 200 BR. Not only is dropping time - she is also much more confident. She KNEW she was going to get the cut this past weekend. She said it, she expected it, and she approached the race with more confidence than I had ever seen before. It was amazing! In just one month, she has dropped: 1.3 seconds in the 50 FR, 2.2 seconds in the 100 FR, 2.6 seconds in the 200 FR, 4.5 seconds in the 100 BK, 6.1 seconds in the 200 BK, 1 second in the 100 FL, 3.2 seconds in the 200 FL, 5 seconds in the 100 BR, 10 seconds in the 200 BR, 3.8 seconds in the 200 IM and 8 seconds in the 400 IM. That's over 45 seconds in one month! We can't wait to come back - she is a totally different swimmer.
