8 Upcoming Ski Movie Releases for Fall 2020

Camper perfecting their form hitting a jump in the back country at Lake Tahoe Our ski camps are offered at Mt Hood all summer long

After the longest offseason in recent memory, I have never been so excited for ski season to start. When lifts closed in March, many professional skiers left the competition circuit to focus on backcountry skiing, big jumps and incredible pillow lines. Now is our chance to be a fly on the wall for some of the best skiing ever. From Henrik Harlaut’s 2 year passion project, to an all women’s ski movie made by Coline Ballet-Baz, and hospital defying stunts in the streets by Strictly; we are in for some of the most cinematic projects ever released.

This upcoming season of film releases will be different. Instead of packing into your favorite movie theater with 200 like-minded skiers, we will be watching at home. The 2020-21 season will be filled with uncertainty, reservations at resorts, and long lift lines. In the meantime, we can escape reality and become immersed in our favorite sport.

If you are interested in skiing all year round, check out our summer ski camp at Mt. Hood.

Here are some titles to look out for!

Salute - Henrik Harlaut - releasing November 10th

It’s easy to say, no one loves skiing as much as Henrik Harlaut. His baggy clothes, energetic personality, and style separate him for anyone else. Salute is Henrik Harlaut’s long-awaited 2 year project which he hopes to get back to the core of freestyle skiing. Henrik has been a legend in the skiing game ever since he partnered with Armada skis back in 2011. Shot on location in Jackson Hole, Chamonix, Mt. Baker, Grandvalira, Minnesota, Quebec, and Riksgransen.

FOREVER by Tanner Hall/Frozen Ambrosia - released October 6th

Tanner Hall was surpassed as the most decorated skier in X Games history earlier this year, but his status as one of the greatest of all time will never be taken away. At age 35 Tanner continues to throw down mind-blowing tricks on the world’s biggest stage. Tanner’s longtime filmer, Constantine Papanicolaou, dives into how injuries have challenged Tanner, and changed the way he looks at skiing. This movie discusses the last chapter of an incredible career filled with the highest highs and lowest lows. Filmed on location in Truckee, CA, Bend, OR, Kalispell, MT, Alta, UT, Kicking Horse, BC, Hakuba, JP, and Fieberbrunn, AT.

NOTHING- Level 1 - released October 1st

Level 1 is back again after finishing their 20-year annual movie series documenting the future of ski progression. Parker White stars in NOTHING, a movie focused on sliding down snow on more than just 2 planks. In addition to Parker White it features Lucas Stal Madison, Duncan Adams, and many more!

Bermuda by Strictly - releasing October 27th

This will be the second full-length film for the Strictly Creative crew following their film last year, Welcome. Get ready for hand-built jumps, urban rails, and stylish backcountry turns! Subject 2 Changes - Carnage - releasing Fall 2020

The boys from Montana have outdone themselves this year, with their new movie “Subject to Change”. After dropping Relax last year, Carnage has been known for their unique humor and style.
