Otterbein won its first Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) title in 2012, going 26-8 and defeating Mount Union in the league's tournament championship match. The program made four- consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances spanning 2010-13, it's first four in school history.
Wright and the Cards strung together a school-record 15-match winning streak during the 2011 season, which saw a 26-6 overall record and a five-set victory over eventual national champion Wittenberg University.
Otterbein has garnered six AVCA All-American awards and four CoSIDA Academic All-America awards over the last four seasons. The program cracked the national Top-25 poll for the first time ever in 2012 and reached as high as No. 8 in 2013.
Wright came to Otterbein in 2007 from Mount Union, where she served as assistant volleyball coach while also assisting in men’s and women’s track and field. While at Mount Union, Wright took part in a volleyball program that improved from 15-16 in 2005 to 22-10 in 2006.
A 2005 graduate of Wittenberg, she was a two-time All-American outside hitter in helping lead the Tigers into the NCAA Division III Tournament four times, including two advancements into the Elite Eight. She holds a bachelor's degree in business management and, in 2012, earned a master's degree in business administration from Otterbein.
Wright has also coached several club volleyball teams, including stints as head coach for a Mid Ohio club team for 15-year-olds (2006), and a Midwest Elite open team for 16-year-olds (2005). She also hosts Otterbein volleyball overnight and day camps for different ages and skill levels, ranging from young newcomers to college bound players.
Wright and her husband, Bobby, a 2007 Otterbein graduate and former baseball player, were recently married in December of 2014. They currently reside in Westerville.

Great first camp experience
My daughter enjoyed the entire experience. Her camp coach did a good job and she made several new friends as she was one of the few girls that came to camp solo. She enjoyed spending time on a college campus that was safe, easy to maneuver and gave her a great "first" experience with a college campus. The camp was designed with every skill level and position in mind and taught the girls accordingly. We had a great experience.

I would recommend this camp to anyone who wants to learn how to play volleyball or just to work on their skills. I had a great experience and didn't feel left behind since I had never played volleyball before. All of the other girls in my group were very encouraging and would give me pointers along with the coach to help me succeed and to help me do my best.

Can't wait to go back
My daughter was highly motivated by the coaches each day. She felt successful and couldn't wait to go back each day! I loved the evaluation paper at the end. It showed me what skills had been worked on and how my daughter measured up.

This camps work towards not only improving skills but sportsmanship. There was always positive feedback and reinforcement. My daughter’s whole outlook on the game changed in just those 4 days.
— Emma C. Parent of a camper 6/30/15
The volleyball camp at Otterbein was eye opening. I learned new drills, interacted with new people, and continued getting better. This camp allows you to hear someone else's coaching style other than what you're used to. I recommend this camp.

One on one help
The coaches are great with pulling kids aside and giving them that extra one on one help if needed.
— Rachel F. Parent of a camper 7/1/15
They have lots of drills and exercises that teach you hands on certain skills. Each skill hitting, setting, and bumping, had its own branch and they went into depth. They had good coaches, fun games, and helped you get to know your fellow campers. You never get bored!

Exposed to different players
Girls met a lot of different players while competing against each other and learning the game of volleyball.

The camp is very organized with a friendly staff who worked great with the girls. My daughter's skills did improve and she had a great time. I feel it was money well spent. She will return next summer.
