    The program you run is phenomenal! We are a military family with lots of summer camps under our belt. But this, by far, is the best our children have ever attended. Worth the two hours of driving every morning. Your camp counselors/coaches are amazing. Facilities: incredible. The organization is top notch: super easy check in and perfect amount of correspondence. The welcome our daughter has always felt, everyday, this year and last is unforgettable, and at every pick up she didn’t want to leave.

Our son has attended other Marin camps, and this is the only one he ever really felt that coaches truly know what they are talking about and can connect athletically with kids. This is the only basketball camp in Marin our son ever wants to go to, and he enjoys every moment. Thank you for a great experience.

Improve your game and have serious fun
at Nike Basketball Camps

Work with some of the Bay Area’s best basketball coaches this fall - including Buck Chavez, Tyler Gaffaney, and Jeff Skaggs - at Terra Linda High School in San Rafael, CA. This convenient Marin County location offers a great environment for player development, with dedicated coaches who know how to elevate individual and team skills. Since launching in 2000, these camps have welcomed over 5,000 athletes, and the fall sessions continue that tradition with high‑quality instruction and an energizing atmosphere built for growth.

The Complete Skills Camp — the premier teaching camp in Marin County — is designed to help players of all abilities develop athleticism, refine essential basketball fundamentals, and confidently expand their skill set whether they play post, wing, or guard.

    Jeff Skaggs

    Co-Director

    Coach Skaggs is the founder and director of San Domenico Basketball Camps (Nike Camps since 2014), and was an associate athletic director at San Domenico for 26 years before retiring in 2025. Jeff has won multiple CYO Championships between basketball and track & field for San Domenico, and directed the youth basketball programs at SD for 20+ years. This summer will be his 26th year of running his basketball camps, and he is well known on the Marin and Bay Area basketball platforms.

    Jeff is a former faculty member, PE teacher, basketball coach, and program director at San Domenico. Coach Skaggs is a charter member of the Positive Coaching Alliance, a former basketball player and coach at Southern Utah University, and a former player at Marin Catholic High School. He coached AAU when his two kids, Andrew (33) and Hayley (30) were playing in High School.

    Coach Skaggs was also a coach and counselor at the prestigious Superstar High School Camp for many years in San Diego, and has directed camps for 30 years.

    Head Coach

    San Domenico Basketball Director and Varsity Boys Coach Tyler Gaffaney enters his fourth year at San Domenico School after leading his teams to back to back to back 20 win seasons, and births in both the NCS and California State playoffs. Tyler's team also made a 2023 appearance in the Northern California D5 final. Building on the success of our basketball program, Tyler will work with his high school teams, as well as campers to continue developing strong skills, character, and a winning spirit in all levels of the programs. He is a club coach as well, for Marin's fall and summer NBBA programs. Tyler is also currently the assistant athletic director at SD. Coach Gaffaney is already recognized within the Bay Area basketball world as an outstanding young coach.

    Tyler Gaffaney brings an impressive pedigree to SD Basketball, having played professionally in Spain with Club Baloncesto Morón and El Olivar, and coached at the collegiate level at Cal State East Bay and Wesleyan University. In his three years at Wesleyan, Gaffaney’s focus on recruiting and player development contributed to the program’s winningest season in school history.

    “I’m fired up to have joined the SD family four years ago, and I can’t wait to get into the gym again this November with our students,” says Gaffaney. “We’re well on our way with building a perennially competitive program, and I’m excited to take it to the next level.”

    Gaffaney earned his bachelor’s degree in Economics at Claremont Mudd Scripps, where he also led the Stags to their first-ever NCAA Tournament victory. Gaffaney’s honors as a player include SCIAC Conference Player of the year, Academic All-American, and Athletic All-American. He holds an MBA from Claremont Graduate University. Tyler recently has been announced as a Hall of Fame inductee, and will be honored in January of 2026 by Claremont, one of the top academic schools in the U.S.

    Coach Tyler lives in Marin with his wife Kyra, and their daughter Lenna and son Grady.

    Coach Chavez is a Marin CYO Coach who has coached basketball and tennis at the Branson School and is the current PE teacher at Lagunitas School. After playing in high school and college, Chavez went on to play professionally in Mexico for 14 seasons. Before playing internationally, he tried our for the Golden State Warriors.

    Chavez played basketball at Drake High School, College of Marin, and Idaho State University. He has five children, 3 of his sons playing college basketball, and is a longtime camp director.

Camp Hours
  • Check-in: Monday at 8:45am
  • Check-out: Wednesday at 1:30pm
  • Meals: Lunch is not provided. Please bring a packed lunch.
  • Daily Hours: MON-WED 9AM-2PM

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE FEE?

  • Instruction: Morning and afternoon training sessions
  • Supervision: Campers are supervised by staff during camp hours
  • Lunch: Lunch is not provided, please bring a packed lunch.
  • Camp T-shirt & Prizes: Campers at multi-day camps will receive a Nike Basketball Camps t-shirt. *1-day clinics and fall, winter and spring camps excluded.

INSTRUCTION & FACILITY

  • Ratio: 1:10 staff-to-camper ratio
  • Groupings: Campers are grouped by ability, age, and experience, per the Director's discretion
  • Facility: Indoor courts
  • Medical Protocol: Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

BASKETBALLS

Nike All Court Elite Basketballs can be purchased during registration for $35. Players can choose between a size 6 (28.5", standard girls) or size 7 (29.5", standard boys) ball, which will be passed out on the last day of camp. Please note that it is not recommended to bring a basketball to camp as they are provided by the staff for camp instruction.

Below is a suggested list of clothes, equipment, and personal items. US Sports Camps is NOT responsible for lost or stolen articles or money.

CAMPER EVALUATION

Upon arrival, all participants are evaluated by the staff so that their own instructional needs can be addressed throughout the week. In addition, campers will be evaluated and then split up into smaller groups according to age and ability.

MEDICAL PROTOCOL

Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

COMPANY POLICIES

If you need to cancel for any reason up until 24 hours prior to camp check-in, you will receive a camp credit voucher for tuition fees paid that is good through the following year for any sport and is transferable to any immediate family member. Participants who DO NOT attend their registered session (no-shows for any reason) or who do not contact USSC to cancel at least 24 hours prior to camp check-in will not receive a voucher or refund. Cash refunds are given only if Cancellation Protection was purchased at the time of registration and the cancellation is made before your balance due date.

Facility

Founded in 1850, San Domenico is an independent co-educational (pre-K through Grade 12) day and boarding school located on 200 hectares in San Anselmo, California. The campus features state-of-the-art academic facilities, a music conservatory, riding stables, swimming pool, gymnasium and six tennis courts. Located in Marin County, San Anselmo is eight kilometers from Central San Rafael and 26 kilometers north from downtown San Francisco. California’s beautiful Napa and Sonoma counties and the northern coastline and beaches are within a 50-minute drive.
