Brooke Makemson

Brooke joined the Lady Chaps softball coaching staff prior to the 2023 season, after serving as a member of the Lady Chaps from 2020 - 2022.
She closed out her playing career with a tremendous 2022 season in which she claimed NFCA Third Team All-America, NFCA All-Region, LSC All-Conference and Golden Glove accolades. Brooke hit .364 and appeared in all 51 games during the season. Makemson co-led the nation in sacrifice flies (7), reaching a share of the second-best single-season mark in sacrifice flies in program history.
Over her LCU career, Brooke was a two-time NFCA All-Region and LSC All-Conference selection. She also claimed LSC academic accolades. In 123 career games, Makemson hit .364 with 30 doubles and 96 RBI. She ranks tied for the eighth-most sacrifices in LCU program history (7).
Brooke is originally from California and calls Frisco, Texas home. After graduating Wakeland High School, she attended Louisiana Tech and Tyler Junior College.
