Derek Drew

Derek Drew is the Camp Director of the Nike Track & Field Camp in Chicagoland and the founder and Director of Track & Field at One For All Athletics in Yorkville, Illinois, where he also coaches at Yorkville High School. His specialty is youth athlete development.

In 2026, Coach Drew guided Aiden Kolkmeyer to two All State finishes in the 110H (14.30) & 300H (37.30), AAU Junior Olympic national titles in the 110m hurdles (14.42) and the 400m hurdles (52.57). That 400m hurdles time ranked #4 in the nation and is the #1 all time mark in Illinois for his age. His athletes improve across every event group:

• Alexandria Richmond: 3rd at the AAU Junior Olympics. Triple jump from 10.13m (33' 3") to 12.18m (39' 11.5"); long jump from 4.34m (14' 3") to 5.63m (18' 5.75"); 100m from 13.61 to 12.86; 200m from 29.37 to 26.00
• Jezhian Sprinkle: 400m hurdles from 58.72 to 53.81; 400m from 51.45 to 49.92; 110m hurdles from 17.06 to 14.37
• Jimmie Rodgers: 400m from 1:00.72 to 51.28, 200m from 24.48 to 22.68
• Peyden Shepherd: 400m hurdles from 1:01.23 to 56.86; 400m from 1:00.6 to 52.31, 110H 16.74 to 14.88.
• Jayden Ruth: 100m from 11.25 to 10.69; 200m from 22.50 to 21.51; long jump 7.00m (22' 11.75")
• Cathlea Ben: 100m from 13.82 to 13.08; 200m from 30.08 to 28.47
• Leah Martin: 200m from 29.37 to 26.98; 100m hurdles from 16.15 to 15.45.
• Corinne Williams: 100m hurdles from 17.82 to 14.92

Coach Drew spent 2 years coaching at the Division I level coaching under Kareem Jackson at the University of Wisconsin and Illinois State under Brenton Emmanuel. At the University of Wisconsin he coached multiple All Big Ten athletes and multiple All Americans. At Illinois State University he helped build the nation’s #7 ranked hurdle program and was part of the staff that won both the men’s and women’s MVC indoor titles. He was a 4 time conference champion and NCAA qualifier in the 400m hurdles at SIUE, and he brings more than 25 years in the sport to every camper.
