Ozzy Alcala-Enriquez
Camp Director
Ozzy Alcala-Enriquez is a proud Bay Area native with a strong passion for youth development, education, and athletics. He earned his B.S. in Social Welfare from University of California, Berkeley and has spent more than 12 years working with students and young athletes from diverse backgrounds.
Before becoming a Physical Education teacher, Ozzy spent 10 years as the After-School Program Director at the Boys & Girls Clubs of San Leandro. Over the last four years, he has worked as a P.E. teacher at progressive schools throughout the Bay Area, helping students build confidence, teamwork, and a lifelong appreciation for movement and wellness.
Ozzy currently serves as the Director of the Nike US Sports Multi-Sport Camp in Alameda, California. His coaching philosophy emphasizes sportsmanship, leadership, skill development, and creating a positive environment where every camper feels supported and encouraged to grow.
What makes Ozzy stand out as a coach is his ability to build authentic relationships with students while balancing structure, positivity, and fun. He is known for creating engaging activities, fostering teamwork, and helping young athletes develop confidence both on and off the field. His background in progressive education and youth mentorship allows him to focus not only on athletic growth, but also on character development and social-emotional learning.
Outside of coaching and teaching, Ozzy enjoys gardening, woodworking, spending time with his family, and cheering on the Las Vegas Raiders, Golden State Warriors, and California Golden Bears.
