During his tenure at Limestone, Tucker reached unprecedented levels of consistency with championships. His teams have won 18 regular season conference titles dating all the way back to 2004 and have captured 14 conference tournament titles since the inception of the Conference Carolinas tournament with 2 additional South Atlantic Conference titles coming back-to-back in 2024 and 2025. Tucker’s teams have also made 12 NCAA tournament appearances (2004, 2006, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2018, 2021, and 2025) with 4 NCAA final fours and two appearances in the NCAA Division II National Championship (2011, 2013).

In 2013 Maia Czarnecki become the first player in program history to win the NCAA's prestigious Elite 89 Award as the individual with the highest GPA competing at the NCAA Championships. Additionally, the Saints have earned the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll every year since 2011. Among those years, the team received 5 Conference Carolinas Sportsmanship awards and had Sarah Munoz and Megan Smith both receive the IWLCA Community Service award.

It didn’t take long for the success of the program under Tucker was recognized on the national level as his first recruiting class at Limestone led to the team being named the Most Improved Team in Division II by Inside Lacrosse in only his second season in Gaffney. That team went from 7-6 in his first year of 2002 to a 12-3 record in 2003. As a result, Tucker was nominated for National Coach of the Year honors that season by Inside Lacrosse.

In his 25 years as a head coach, Tucker has produced 53 All-Americans, 72 All-Region players, 132 All-Conference players, 51 Conference All-Tournament selections and six Freshmen of the Year. He has also coached nine conference-players of the Year.

Personally, Tucker has earned Conference Coach of the Year honors during the 2004, 2006, 2008, 2009, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2024 campaigns, and was named Synapse Sports Division II National Coach of the Year in 2006. Tucker earned the IWLCA regional coach of the year honors in 2011 and 2013 after competing for the National Championship. He is currently in the Division II top 2 for most wins in a career and is among the top ten in wins and win percentage for all three NCAA Divisions. His 2011 team was inducted into the Limestone Athletics Hall of Fame.

In addition to his work at Limestone, Tucker was an assistant coach for the U-19 Canadian National Team during the 2011 and 2015 world cup seasons. In his first World Cup in 2011 Tucker served as offensive coordinator on the Bronze Medal winning team. In 2015 Tucker switched to the defensive side and served as the defensive coordinator on a team that won its first ever gold medal. That historic win resulted in the 2015 team being inducted into the Canadian Lacrosse Association Hall of Fame.

Prior to Limestone, Tucker spent two years as the head coach at Oswego State University in Oswego, N.Y. During those two seasons, his Lakers’ teams compiled a 21-11 overall record and reached the SUNYAC Conference Championship in both seasons before falling to national power Cortland State.

In addition to his coaching career, Tucker has served on the NCAA Regional Advisory Committee, Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Association Board of Directors, Safety and Game Administration Committee, All-Star Game Committee, and All-American Committee. He is also an active CWLOA/NCAA women’s National Elite Lacrosse Official.

Among his other achievements is authoring three instructional videos in conjunction with Championship Productions. In 2017, Tucker was also inducted into the South Carolina Chapter of US Lacrosse’s Hall of Fame.
