Experience an incredible camp at the Nike Soccer Camp in Takoma Park (formerly Washington Adventist University), Maryland, hosted at Ed Wilhelm Soccer Field! Led by WAU Men’s Head Coach Daniel Carroll alongside the WAU men’s soccer and PhiloSoccer Training coaching staff, this camp delivers far more than elite soccer instruction, it offers a truly transformative experience.

The program is built on the belief that a great sports camp should teach not only the game, but also the life skills soccer uniquely develops: challenge, discipline, teamwork, self‑expression, resilience, creativity, and sportsmanship.     Originally from Liverpool, England, Daniel’s soccer journey began at Manchester United’s Youth Academy, where he trained under elite European coaches and alongside future Premier League stars. He later earned a full scholarship at the University of Rio Grande, capturing a National Championship in 2015.

    Daniel has been a teacher and educator for the past ten years teaching grades 6-12 in public and private institutions across a variety of subjects and is now serving as Head Men's Soccer Coach at Washington Adventist University. Daniel continues to give back to the game by passionately teaching and mentoring the next generation of players through PhiloSoccer Training.

WHO IS THIS CAMP FOR?

PhiloSoccer camps offer elite instruction to players of all ages and levels. The coaching staff is comprised of fun and energetic college soccer coaches, licensed psychologists, and college athletes, creating an optimal teaching and playing environment. The curriculum includes elite skills training, talent shows, tournaments, soccer improv on stage, and problem-solving games and challenges. Throughout every minute of the program, PhiloSoccer strives to optimize the camp experience, enabling campers to learn, grow, and develop over the course of each camp day.

SKILL LEVEL

This camp is open to all soccer players ages 8-16. Upon arrival, all participants are evaluated by the staff and placed into groups based on age and ability level. These camps are designed to maximize player participation and ensure each camper develops in all aspects of the game in a fun and engaging environment. Coaches will implement a wide range of technical, physical, and tactical activities with a focus on fun so campers get to improve with a smile on their faces.

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE FEE?

  • Instruction: Training from the Washington Adventist University Soccer and PhiloSoccer Training coaching staff

  • Day campers: Lunch is not provided. Please bring a packed lunch.

TRANSPORTATION

Transportation is not provided. Campers are responsible for getting to and from camp on their own. There is no supervision before or after camp hours so please make arrangements to pick up your child on time.

Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

  • Nike Soccer Camp at Takoma Park takes place at Week 1-2: Ed Wilhelm Soccer Field | Week 3: Takoma Academy, a college campus located at Ed Wilhelm Soccer Field (Takoma-Piney Branch Local Park) - 2 Darwin Avenue, Takoma Park, Maryland 20912. Led by camp director Daniel Carroll and 8 additional coaches. Popular with families from Silver Spring, Washington, DC, Bowie, Laurel, and other nearby towns.

  • Sessions range from $289 to $399 for a 5-day camp. A deposit secures your spot, with the balance due before camp starts.

  • This camp is for athletes ages 8 to 16, coed. All skill levels welcome. Participants are grouped by ability on arrival.

  • 3 sessions across summer, from July 6 through August 7, 2026. Select your dates above to check availability.

  • This camp offers two formats: half-day runs 9 AM to 12 PM, and day camp runs 9 AM to 3 PM.
