The Buccaneers are excited to host a Winter Hitting Camp at Charleston Southern University, where players will have the opportunity to sharpen their offensive skills during the offseason. We can’t wait to welcome both new and returning campers as they work to improve their swings and gain confidence at the plate. All players will take batting practice on Nielsen Field, home of the CSU Buccaneers. Director - Director of Player Development Jake Manyin
Jake Manyin was appointed as the graduate assistant for CSU Baseball in August of 2024. While with the Buccaneers, he will be assuming the role of Director of Player Development.

Head Coach Karl Kuhn
Kuhn will be entering his first season at the helm of the Charleston Southern Baseball program beginning in 2024-25. He has spent the past two seasons on staff at CSU working as the pitching coach with his first year as an assistant and his second as the Associate Head Coach.

Assistant Coach Brett Young
Brett Young joined Charleston Southern in the summer of 2024 as an assistant coach and will have the 2025 season mark his first year with the Buccaneers. He arrived at the university after spending the past three at Barry University.

Kirby McGuire joined Charleston Southern as an assistant coach in the summer of 2024 and will have the 2025 season mark his first year with the Buccaneers. He joined CSU after spending the past three season at Ohio University.

Camp Details
Instruction will focus primarily on hitting. You can expect high demand for these first come first serve camper spots, so please be sure to register early.

2025 WINTER HITTING CAMP INFORMATION
- Dates: December 13, 2025
- Age Group: 7-13
- Camp Type: Day Camp
- Schedule: Saturday, 9:00am-1:00pm
- Check-In: Begins 30 minutes prior to the camp start time.
- Meals: Feel free to bring a snack if needed.
2026 SUMMER CAMP INFORMATION
- Dates: June 22-26, 2026 | July 13-17, 2026
- Age Group: 7-14
- Camp Type: Day Camp
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-12:30pm
- Check-In: Begins 30 minutes prior to the camp start time.
- Meals: Feel free to bring a snack if needed.
- Aftercare: This camp offers aftercare from 12:30pm-1:30pm following each day of camp. All 5 days can be purchased for an additional $100.00 fee. (Note: you cannot purchase aftercare for individual days).

INSTRUCTION & FACILITY
Ratio: 1:10 staff to camper ratio
Groupings: Campers are grouped by ability, age, and experience, per the Director's discretion.
Facility: Outdoor Fields. Indoor facilities are available during inclement weather conditions.

MEDICAL PROTOCOL
Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.
TRAVEL
Nike Baseball Camps does not provide transportation from airports, train stations or bus depots. If you have a child flying to camp, please arrange a shuttle or taxi service.
TEAM/GROUP DISCOUNT
If you have a team or group of 5 or more campers registering for the same camp, each camper may be eligible for a discount. To receive the group discount, please have someone email US Sports Camps at [email protected] with the following information: Camp name, list of camper names, and the number of campers. We will respond with a unique discount code for everyone in the group to use during online registration. *Note: Discount amounts vary by program, so please reach out for more details.

Charleston Southern Baseball makes their home on campus at Nielsen Field @ CSU Ballpark. Located on the back end of campus, the Ballpark features a natural grass field and stadium that seats 1,000 fans in a picturesque setting for college baseball.
