Welcome to the Nike Golf Camps in Orlando, Florida! Join Nike Camp Director, Tom Jackson, and incredible staff from Rio Golf Academy for top-notch instruction at Rio Pinar Golf. Improve your game and have fun with our experienced teaching professionals this summer!

HIGH PERFORMANCE CAMP

This camp was designed for a high-school, tournament-level golfer looking for a competitive experience. The high performance camp will run from 9:00am-4:00pm, focusing on advanced techniques. The High-Performance Elite Level Training Camp includes assessments, technical instruction, on-course training, 3D Golf Bio-dynamics screening and usage, Trackman technology, an introduction to UpGame, and SAM PuttLab analysis. All aspects of the game are addressed and there is a strong emphasis on tournament preparation, course management, mental toughness and scoring improvement. This camp is open to competitive golfers ages 12-18. Lunch will be provided.

    Camp Director

    Tom is a Class “A” member of the PGA of Canada. He has been a Golf Professional for over 40 years and brings a wealth of knowledge to the Rio Golf Academy. Tom played for 13 years on PGA Tour Canada, Australian and Asian tours, as well as many tournaments worldwide.

    Having gained experience from playing with some of the finest players of his time, Tom understands what it takes to compete at the highest level. In 2006 Tom started a full-time, Junior and Post Grad residential golf academy in Orlando Florida designed to prepare young golfers for success in junior golf, collegiate golf and beyond.

    Within this business Tom worked with some of the finest primary and secondary academic institutions in Central Florida where students from his academy graduated on way to receiving sports scholarship to some of the top universities in the United States.

    After merging his academy with another existing academy, Tom stepped back from the academy business and re-entered the management side of the golf industry where he has been the General Manager at Rio Pinar Golf for the past six and a half years.

Camp Details

This program is designed for boys and girls between the ages of 12 and 18. The staff is on hand to provide campers with top-quality instruction each day. At Nike Advanced Golf Camps we aim to provide an experience for tournament-level golfers who compete or are looking to take their game to the next level. It’s this diversified approach to learning that provides kids with not only the skills to play better golf, but the tools to take charge of their lives physically and emotionally as well. Upon arrival, all participants are evaluated by the staff so that their own instructional needs can be addressed throughout the week.

    • High Performance Camp: 9:00am-4:00pm, Monday-Friday
  • Check-In: Check-in will be between 8:30am-9:00am.
  • Lunch: Lunch will be provided.
  • Program: The Advanced Camp is designed for the high-school or tournament-level player with college golf aspirations who are looking for a competitive experience. All aspects of the game are addressed and there is a strong emphasis on tournament preparation, course management, mental toughness and scoring improvements.

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE FEE?

  • Instruction: Morning instruction with focus on all aspects of the game including all aspects of the short game including putting analysis in our SAM PuttLab, pitching, chipping, and sand play along with analysis from Trackman date, pressure mapping, and 3-D video analysis.
  • Lunch: Lunch will be provided.
  • Supervision: Campers are supervised by staff during camp hours.
  • Camper Amenity Package: Campers will receive an amenity package including a Nike hat, drawstring bag, SRIXON golf balls, camp workbook, and graduation certificate.

INSTRUCTION, EQUIPMENT & FACILITY

  • Ratio: 1:6 staff-to-camper ratio.
  • Groupings: Campers are grouped by age, ability, and experience.
  • Equipment Needed: Players should supply their own golf clubs, glove, golf balls, and tees.
  • Facility: Rio Pinar Golf
  • Medical Protocol: Camp will have on-site staff to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

  • Signed Health & Release forms and waivers (forms completed online do not need to be printed and turned in at camp)

TRANSPORTATION

Transportation is not provided. Campers are responsible for getting to and from camp on their own. There is no supervision before or after camp hours so please make arrangements to pick up your child on time.

9:00am-12:00pm Instruction - campers rotate through stations working on putting, chipping, pitching, bunker play and full-swing

Rio Pinar Country Club

One of the most historic golf clubs in Central Florida, Rio Pinar has tested the greats including Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus and Lee Trevino to name a few! For fifty years, the private club has offered a classic layout that can be enjoyed by golfers of all levels. Rio has played host to 17 PGA/LPGA tournaments. We are excited to bring Nike campers to a club so rich in history.
