Nike Junior Golf Camps
Get ready for an amazing experience in Berkeley, CA! Join one of our top Nike Camp Directors, Trish Hinze, this summer at Tilden Park Golf Course. This camp provides top-notch instruction, so come and see why thousands of campers have attended this junior golf program. Improve your game and have fun with our experienced teaching professionals this summer!
Full Day Camp
This program is a wonderful way for our campers to enjoy a full day of golf. Full day campers receive three hours of instruction each day with emphasis on putting, chipping, bunker play and full swing. After morning instruction and a break for lunch, campers will get to apply what they have learned out on the course. Full Day Camps run Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm and are open to players of all abilities, ages 9-15. Please note: Lunch is provided for full day campers each day.
Half Day Camps
This program is designed to pique the interest of new golfers while also offering intermediate golfers the instruction needed to improve. Half day campers receive four hours of instruction each day with emphasis on putting, chipping, bunker play and full swing. Campers rotate between stations and participate in drills, skills challenges, and other games. Half-day campers remain on the practice facilities and do not play on the course. Half Day Camps run Monday through Thursday from 1:00pm to 5:00pm and are open to beginner/intermediate players, ages 7-12. Please note: Lunch and course play is NOT provided for half day campers.

Camp Director Trish Hinze
Trish Hinze started the Nike Junior Golf Camps at Tilden Park in 1999 and they have grown to over 300 campers per summer. She has been teaching golf to adults and juniors of all levels for over 20 years and started playing golf herself at the age of eight.

Camp Details
This program is designed for boys and girls ages 7-15 (varies by program). The staff is on hand to provide campers with top quality instruction each day. At Nike Golf Camps we accommodate all skill levels; the junior player just discovering the game, the high school player aiming to improve their team position, or the junior golfer looking to enhance their overall performance. Upon arrival, all participants are evaluated by the staff so that their own instructional needs can be addressed throughout the week.

- Full Day: The All Abilities program is designed to improve the fundamental skills needed for golf including putting, chipping, bunker play, and full-swing. On the first day of camp, all participants will be evaluated by the instructors and placed into groups based on age and ability level in various individual, small group and full group settings.
- Half Day: The Beginner/Intermediate program is designed for players who are just discovering the game or are in the first year of learning the basic fundamentals of golf. Campers will get a jump-start on their golf skills and create a solid foundation to build upon after camp. Campers receive instruction on all skills - putting, chipping, bunker play, and full-swing in various individual, small group and full group settings. Please note: Course play is NOT provided for half day campers.

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE FEE?
- Instruction: Daily instruction and course play (for full day campers only)
- Lunch: Lunch is provided for full day campers.
- Supervision: Campers are supervised by staff during camp hours.
- Camper Amenity Package: Campers will receive an amenity package including a Nike hat, drawstring bag, SRIXON golf balls, camp workbook, and graduation certificate.
INSTRUCTION, EQUIPMENT & FACILITY
- Ratio: 1:8 staff-to-camper ratio.
- Groupings: Campers are grouped by age, ability, and experience.
- Equipment Needed: Players should supply their own golf clubs, glove, golf balls, and tees.
- **For the Full Day camp, pull carts may be rented for $7/day or $30 for the week.
- Rental Clubs: If your child does not have their own set of golf clubs, the Tilden Park Golf Course provides them for $35/week and pull carts are $7/day or $30 for the week, paid for on the first day of camp.
- Facility: Tilden Park Golf Course
- Medical Protocol: Camp will have on-site staff to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

TRANSPORTATION
Transportation is not provided. Campers are responsible for getting to and from camp on their own. There is no supervision before or after camp hours so please make arrangements to pick up your child on time.

Tilden Park Golf Course
Tilden Park Golf Course offers golfers an experience you won't find anywhere else in the Bay Area. Located in the scenic Berkeley Hills, just minutes away from the UC Berkeley campus, this William Park Bell Jr. design features a challenging 18-hole, par 70 course. Tilden Park’s signature first hole, a 420-yard par 4 straight uphill to an elevated green, is considered to be one of toughest starting holes in the Bay Area. Set amongst rolling hills and tree lined fairways, Tilden Park Golf Course is truly one of a kind. Tilden Park Golf Course also features a three-tiered driving range with over 60 stalls, two practice putting greens, and a practice bunker area.

Trying to get info out of my 11-year-old is difficult, but he really liked the camp. He has an interest in golf now. If we had time, he would sign up for another golf camp... probably next year... He liked those in charge of the camp as well, he mentioned that a few times to me. Max is really social, so I think that is what he liked best. Being out on the course with friends talking and hanging out. So that is probably his inspiration for enjoying the game. He had a great week and didn't have one negative comment about the camp. emphasis on the safety and wellness
Ryan said that Trish was very good and he learned many things from her. He also liked coach Nick. He was able to learn concepts about putting and enjoyed the games, which made the skill learning more interesting. We went to two camps this summer since he liked it the first time so much. As a parent, I heard the opening welcome and there was an emphasis on the safety and wellness of the kids. Trish brought it up first. I thought that was excellent, as kids need to know it is important and it made me feel more confident that your camp has the correct structure for learning and your camp’s professionalism and reputation start with safety. Well done! It’s actually the parents’ highest priority as well since we are not there.

Exceptional
The Nike Golf Camp was exceptional. It was great and gave my daughter the tips and confidence she needed to make the cut for her Varsity High School Golf Team. Our son loves golf now!
Will Dougherty loved the experience of Nike Golf Camp. His father purchased him his own bag and clubs and they have been hitting buckets of balls and putting weekly. We will definitely sign up next year for the full day camp. Thank you.

Overall Awesome Camp
They get to play 9 holes every day. The drills were made into games for the kids to stay engaged. The daily lunches, courtesy of the Grizzly Grill, were excellent.

Top-notch Instruction!
My son has enjoyed attending this camp with his golf buddies for the past 2-3 years. This camp is a very good camp, just the right mix of instruction, games and course playing time. The staff were great. They keep it fun while delivering top notch instruction. Thank you!

Camp Was Great
Camp was great!! Tilden Park its an amazing golf club. My son Cairo enjoyed a lot. Kathy help him a lot and let us use the clubs a few more days to play the course!!! I totally recommend the golf camp at Tilden park golf course.

Fudamentals were the Key
Jack had an amazing time and the focus was on exactly the right things - fundamentals. My only wish is that you had an all-day camp for under 10s - I don't think Jack can wait until 10!

emphasis on the safety and wellness
Ryan said that Trish was very good and he learned many things from her. He also liked coach Nick. He was able to learn concepts about putting and enjoyed the games, which made the skill learning more interesting. We went to two camps this summer since he liked it the first time so much. As a parent, I heard the opening welcome and there was an emphasis on the safety and wellness of the kids. Trish brought it up first. I thought that was excellent, as kids need to know it is important and it made me feel more confident that your camp has the correct structure for learning and your camp’s professionalism and reputation start with safety. Well done! It’s actually the parents’ highest priority as well since we are not there.

Loved This Camp
My son loved this camp--the half day--and has signed up to do the full day camp in July. It's the first time he's played golf and learned a tremendous amount in four days. Coach Adam was wonderful.

The Highlight of the Nike Advanced Golf Camp was the instructor (Ron) at Tilden Park. He loves the game of golf, is a great instructor, and the kids have a great time while learning golf.

Excited To Play On The Course With My Son

Exceptional
The Nike Golf Camp was exceptional. It was great and gave my daughter the tips and confidence she needed to make the cut for her Varsity High School Golf Team. She enjoyed her coaches and we have continued with coaching outside of the camp, yes using the same coaches. The coaches know technique, skill, patience and most of all how to explain/instruct so that player understands what is expected when they are on their own without the coach next to them. Thank you again for a job well done.

Exceptional
We love Chris. He is exceptional. My son gave him a 10 every single day. He has learned so much and had a lot of fun. I am impressed with Chris too by observing him working with the kids briefly and through conversations. He not only teaches the kids about golf, but also sportsmanship and their character. We will be back for sure.
