WHAT FAMILIES SAY ABOUT Bill Pilat’s The Goalie School in New York For Boys
28 Reviews
I know it’s corny, but my sons success in Goal is attributable in large measure to the positive reinforcement received at your camps. This summer at a recruiting camp in Baltimore, he said over and over again “I can beat anybody” (and he almost did!). He is very positive about each game, win or lose, and this was learned from counselors at the camps. Well done.
This camp is so much fun! The coaches really want to help you and are excited to see you improve. In such a short peroid of time I saw my goalie skills imporve and i feel more confident int he goal already. I loved being able to work with other goalies and meet people who love being a goalie just as much as I do.
Not only did my son improve his skills as a goalie, but he was able to share those experiences with new friends who enjoyed the same position. It was awesome!
This is my sons 2nd year and he has a great time ! Always excited to go and still happy when I pick him up!!
Augsut 9, 2015: Please allow me to share a good day. My son just signed with a top Division III lacrosse team. It started at your camps. Thanks to you so far a state championship, all league and now this. Like I said it started with you.
My wife and I gave our grandson this trip as a birthday present. It was his first time away from home without his parents. We had heard so many good things about this camp. When he called us the second day he sounded so happy and told us he was having a great time with the coaches and other lax players there. When we came to pick him up,he showed us around. This was truly a learning experience and we asked if he would like to return again in the future and he said yes. My wife and I are proud of our grandson
Kindness of the staff, made him feel very comfortable especially it was the 1st time he spent away from home. Training was excellent for him. He would like to attend future camps. Thank you for taking care of my son and Making a great experience for him
Both of our children have grown up going to lots of sports camps. Usually the kids had fun, but they always felt the staff never really cared about them. On the drive back from camp, Tim absolutely raved about your camp and he continues to do so. He said he learned so much - claiming it was the first camp that he felt really helped him improve.
This camp was a great experience for my son!! I loved watching the games and the way the kids all got along! Loved that they had barely any cell Service so the kids had to interact more!!! Great place!!!

Coach, I wanted to send a quick note highlighting that our son had an absolute great time at your camp in New York. He explained how the instructors were fabulous, the other campers were great and the campus was beautiful with lots to do during his free time. We loved the video session he sent. Your camp was just what the doctor ordered. He is currently driving back with him mom and has asked if he can go back next year. See you then.

My son had a great time and said he learned so much, as far as drills he can do at home and techniques that will help his all around game. He also made some new friends and I am positive he will be returning next year, thanks so much.

He enjoyed the filming so he could see what he was doing wrong based on the coach's observations. He also enjoyed the friends he made.
Really enjoyed the training options, like the weighted sticks and ninja mask.
I appreciated the evaluation sheet given to my son that identified his strengths and weaknesses.
I liked this camp a lot, I think anybody else who is or is thinking about becoming a goalie can benefit from going. The coaches are helpful, the food is good, and you can meet a lot of life long friends. I would recommend this camp to any lacrosse goalie I know.
My son raved about the Coaches. They were always positive and gave in the moment feedback. Although a little remote he thought the facilities were great. Loved the Zoo.
My son felt like he really improved his game and had a lot of fun using all of the unique tools the coaches had to offer. Sometimes my son wished there was a bit more time in between sessions. I know he had fun every time, but I think he got really tired mainly because of the heat in New York.
