at Nike Softball Camps

Nike Softball Camps is thrilled to welcome back Debbie Nelson to lead camp at COPA Training Center in Walnut Creek, CA! A proven leader and elite-level instructor, Coach Nelson brings decades of experience developing athletes and inspiring confidence both on and off the field. Her coaching philosophy emphasizes hard work, team-first mentality, and individualized development—making this an unforgettable experience for players of all levels.

Coach Nelson is the founder of the renowned All American Sports Academy, where she has trained over 400 all-league, all-conference, and all-star student-athletes since 1997. Under her direction, athletes will receive expert instruction using video analysis, velocity testing, advanced skill development, and position-specific training.

Parents are invited to attend an exclusive Parent Workshop held during the final 45 minutes of camp (11:15am–12:00pm). Learn how to best support your athlete’s journey on and off the field.

    Coach Debbie Nelson is recognized as one of the top private teaching instructors in the business. Coach Nelson's training and coaching experience began in 1988 in Sacramento. After spending one year at St Francis High School where the team finished as CIF Champions, she spent the next six years at Sacramento State University.

    As the Assistant and Head Coach for the Sacramento State Hornets, coach Nelson's team competed in Regional and College World Series competitions. Coach Nelson also spent four years as the Head coach for the San Jose State Spartans. During Debbie's 10 years of coaching at the college level she has produced talented and top ranked teams as well as All Conference, All State, and NCAA All Americans players. Debbie also coached an 18 and under USA Team in Europe in 2001 which won the Silver Medal that year. Debbie has been a Director for the US Sports Nike Softball Camp since 1996. In 2004, Debbie joined the National Pro Fastpitch league as an assistant coach for the California Sunbirds.

    As a college player, Debbie achieved All Region, All State, and NCAA All American honors while earning her Bachelors degree at Sacramento State University. Debbie enjoys coaching and teaching athletes at all levels. Debbie loves to see the self-esteem, confidence and competitive skills her students athletes achieve through participation in sports!

    Faith Erb is a Slapping, Hitting, and Defense Instructor at All American Sports Academy with a strong background as both a player and coach.

    She began her playing career at Turlock High School (2015–2019), where she was a varsity starter, team captain her senior year, a 2nd Team All-League selection, and a Coaches Award recipient. Faith went on to play collegiate softball at Dominican University of California (2019–2023), starting all 50 games her senior season at second base and finishing with the highest batting average on the team. She also recorded a seven-game hit streak, an eight-game on-base streak, and earned the Most Inspirational Player award.

    Alongside her playing career, Faith has built extensive coaching experience, serving as a Nike Camp Instructor from 2019–2023, Head Coach of the Marin Tremors during the 2022 fall season, AASA Training Staff member since 2023, Winter Camp Coach in 2023, Pre-Season Rec Class Coach beginning in 2024, and Assistant Coach for the AASA Hall 14U team in Spring/Summer 2025.

2026 WINTER CAMP INFORMATION

  • Dates: December 28-29, 2026
  • Age Groups: 7-14
  • Camp Type: Half-Day Camp
  • Schedule: Monday-Tuesday | 9:00am-12:00pm
  • Check-In: Begins 30 minutes prior to the camp start time.
  • Meals: Snacks are not provided. Please bring a snack to camp each day.
  • Camp will cover defensive position play, pitching, catching, throwing drills, hitting, bunting, video analysis- each players swing, games, leadership workshop, and team-building workshop.

Workshops are open to all parents and campers.

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE FEE?

  • Daily Softball Instruction
  • Supervision: Campers are supervised by staff during camp hours

INSTRUCTION & FACILITY

  • Ratio: 1:10 staff to camper ratio

  • Groupings: Campers are initially grouped by age and moved around accordingly based on skill level.

  • Facility: Indoor facility.

CHECKLIST OF THINGS TO BRING:

Below is a suggested list of clothes, equipment and personal items. US Sports Camps is NOT responsible for lost or stolen articles or money.

  • Small gym bag/backpack

  • Athletic clothing: t-shirt, shorts, softball pants (recommended)

  • Warm-up jacket

  • Hat

  • Sneakers (indoor facility - no cleats allowed)

  • Softball glove

  • Softball bat

  • Helmet

  • Catchers gear (if applicable)

  • Water bottle

  • Packed snacks

MEDICAL PROTOCOL

Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

TRAVEL

Nike Softball Camps does not provide transportation from airports, train stations or bus depots. If you have a child flying to camp, please arrange a shuttle or taxi service.

TEAM/GROUP DISCOUNT

If you have a group of campers registering for the same camp, each camper is eligible for a discount. Please have someone contact the US Sports Camps office at 1-800-645-3226 with the names of each camper in the group and we will create a unique discount code for your group. Campers may then register individually through the website at their convenience and apply the offer code during checkout. *Discount amount varies by program. Please call for details.
