Why this camp
Train with Claremont McKenna College's head coach in Southern California
Athlete pathways: Discovery, Development, Competitive, Advanced Skills
Nike Volleyball Camp at Claremont McKenna College brings girls ages 10-18 together for focused training with Head Coach Kurt Vlasich and his coaching staff. Campers spend their time on the court working through drills, competition, and skill development in a positive setting. Players are placed in small groups based on age and skill level, so instruction and challenges fit where they are in their volleyball journey.
What you'll gain
More confidence in every touch of the ball
Campers work on the skills that shape success on the court, from serving and passing to attacking and ball control. Coaches use drills and competitive play to give players chances to practice, apply feedback, and see progress over the course of camp. Athletes leave with a stronger understanding of the game and more confidence in how they approach each rep.
Discovery pathway: Campers learn basic skills and movement in a fun, welcoming setting that builds a love of the game.
Development pathway: Campers improve fundamentals and technique, with progress they can see.
Competitive pathway: Campers sharpen skills at game speed, with tougher competition and coaching that raises the bar.
Advanced Skills pathway: Campers train with sport-specific detail and focused preparation for the next level.
What you'll experience
A full day of training, competition, and connection
Players spend their day learning from Coach Vlasich and his staff while training alongside other athletes who share their interest in volleyball. Small-group placement based on age and skill level helps coaches deliver instruction that matches each camper's experience and goals. SCHOLARSHIPS
We cannot offer scholarships due to NCAA regulations. Our affiliation with NCAA coaches and schools puts us in a position where any scholarship money can be seen as an inducement to a future collegiate athlete. This puts our coaches and our host universities in jeopardy of damaging their status with the NCAA and incurring penalties at the hands of their organizing body.
Camps are open to any and all entrants, limited only by number, age, grade level and/or gender.
Facility
Campers will utilize the indoor courts at Roberts Pavilion, the fitness and events center for Claremont McKenna College and the athletic center for the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps
