Get ready for an unforgettable week of high‑level training at Mount St. Mary’s University in Emmitsburg, Maryland, where aspiring players step directly into the world of a true Division I athlete. This elite overnight camp delivers a rare opportunity to train, learn, and compete under the guidance of Men’s Head Coach Brett Teach and his accomplished coaching staff.

Coach Teach brings an extraordinary pedigree to this immersive experience. Over the course of his career, he has coached more than 200 professional players, including three U.S. World Cup participants, 30 full national team athletes representing countries such as Iceland, Chile, Uruguay, Jamaica, Trinidad, Guatemala, and more, and has mentored four MLS first‑round draft picks. As the 2000 NAIA National Coach of the Year with 10 conference championships to his name, Coach Teach offers unmatched expertise, insight, and player‑development leadership.

    Men's Soccer Head Coach - Mount Saint Mary's University

    Coach Brett Teach brings more than 30 years of coaching experience across youth development, collegiate soccer, and the professional ranks, offering an exceptional level of expertise to the Mount St. Mary’s men’s soccer program. A proven program builder and nationally respected leader in player development, Teach has guided athletes across NCAA Division I, Division II, and NAIA levels, shaping collegiate and professional talent and helping players thrive both on the field and throughout their long‑term careers.

    Men's Soccer Head Coach - Mount Saint Mary's University

    Teach entered his role at Mount St. Mary’s as a 10‑time conference Coach of the Year and the 2000 United Soccer Coaches NAIA National Coach of the Year, marking his sixth head‑coaching appointment at the collegiate level. His résumé includes more than 268 career victories as a head coach, four national finals appearances, and a remarkable history of leading teams to championships and deep postseason runs. During his tenure across multiple institutions, including Georgia State, Auburn University Montgomery, Tusculum, and others, Teach consistently elevated programs, earning conference titles, NCAA Tournament berths, and national recognition.

    Most recently, Teach spent 14 seasons at VCU, helping guide the Rams to 116 wins, multiple top‑10 national rankings, three NCAA Tournament appearances, and an Atlantic 10 regular season championship. Under his leadership, VCU players collected 63 all‑conference honors, and seven athletes were selected in the MLS SuperDraft, several of whom went on to compete in Major League Soccer.

    Teach’s impact extends beyond the college game. He has decades of experience developing youth and pre‑professional players through club programs and national pathways, including long‑standing service with the Olympic Development Program (ODP) and the United Soccer Coaches education system, where he has helped train and mentor aspiring coaches. His coaching background also includes over 100 collegiate wins on the women’s side, showcasing his versatility and commitment to growing the game at every level.

    A former collegiate goalkeeper and Athletic Hall of Fame inductee at King University, Teach brings a deep understanding of the player experience, a passion for teaching, and a relentless drive to help athletes reach their potential. A dedicated family man, he approaches his work with integrity, authenticity, and a genuine belief in the development of every student‑athlete he leads.

    Coach Daniel O’Rourke brings a strong blend of coaching expertise, player development, and youth‑to‑collegiate pathway experience to the Mount St. Mary’s men’s soccer staff. A dedicated developer of young athletes, O’Rourke has built a coaching career that spans NCAA programs, elite youth clubs, and international environments, preparing players to succeed at every stage of the game.

    Before arriving at the Mount ahead of the 2020–21 season, O’Rourke built his coaching foundation at Keystone College, Frostburg State, and East Stroudsburg University, taking on responsibilities that covered recruiting, scouting, match analysis, tactical planning, training design, and goalkeeper specialization. During his time with Frostburg State and East Stroudsburg, both programs captured conference championships and earned NCAA Tournament berths, reflecting O’Rourke’s impact on competitive, championship‑level soccer.

    At Keystone, he helped guide the program to the 2019 CSAC Championship, adding another NCAA postseason appearance to his coaching résumé. His experience also includes roles with the Electric City Shock in Pennsylvania and UCD Women’s Soccer in Dublin, Ireland, further broadening his coaching perspective and exposure to diverse playing styles.

    Originally from Ireland, O’Rourke’s own playing career began with top youth clubs including Dundrum AFC, St. Joseph Boys AFC, and Cherry Orchard FC, all league‑winning sides during his time. A four‑year starter and nationally ranked goalkeeper at Keystone College, he earned defensive MVP honors, all‑conference recognition, academic awards, and the prestigious N. Scott Thurston Award for excellence in both athletics and academics.

    O’Rourke also brings specialized training credentials, holding two coaching licenses from the Football Association of Ireland, including a certification in goalkeeping—adding valuable positional expertise to the Mount’s coaching staff. A committed family man and a passionate educator of the game, he continues to play a key role in developing confident, intelligent, and technically strong players at the collegiate level.

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE FEE?

  • Instruction: Training from the Mount St. Mary's Men's coaching staff.
  • Meals & Housing: Dormitory housing on campus and all meals are provided.
  • Supervision: Staff members reside in rooms strategically placed throughout the dorm to provide optimal supervision and participate in all activities
  • Camp T-shirt: All campers receive a camp t-shirt
  • Evaluation: Written by coaching staff

INSTRUCTION, EQUIPMENT, & FACILITY

  • Ratio: Low camper to coach ratio

  • Groupings: Campers are grouped by age, ability, and experience

  • Equipment Needed: All campers must bring soccer cleats, shin guards, athletic shoes, and a water bottle.

  • Facility: Mount St. Mary's University

  • Medical Protocol: Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital

EXTENDED DAY INFORMATION

  • Day Camp Hours: 9:00am-7:30pm
  • Daily Check-In & out: Mount St. Mary's University
  • Meals: Lunch & Dinner is provided for Extended Day Campers

A closing ceremony will take place approximately 30 minutes prior to camp check-out on the last day. Parents are invited to attend! Departure immediately follows the closing ceremony.

  • Roommates: Rooms are assigned by age & roommate requests. Roommate requests must be mutual, If you don't have a roommate request, you will be placed in a room with someone near your age. It will be a great opportunity to meet someone new!

  • Linens: Not provided. Bring linens or sleeping bag, pillow, pillowcase, and a towel

  • Air Conditioning: Yes, AC is available in dorms

TRANSPORTATION
