WHAT FAMILIES SAY ABOUT Nike Swim Camp at Hillsdale College
46 Reviews
My son came to the camp having swam for many years. He walked away with knowledge of things coaches had never talked to him about before. He also came home with new confidence that he felt he was going to take seconds off his times with the new skills he has learned. He made new friends (my child is really shy). I also LOVED that they made goals and talked about being a good team member and having an open mind. Excellent experience!
My Daughter loved everything about camp! Encouraging counselors really helped her understand the curriculum and to try her hardest. She said the rooms were comfortable and the food was great!
I loved participating in the team olympics games (water polo, capture the flag, and dodgeball). My technique improved so much as a result of this camp, and the coaches provided all the tools for me to be successful! This camp was amazing.
My son loved the swim technique improvements and instruction. Food. Flag football. The program offered a lot of important takeaways besides the focus on swim. There was the lesson on positive mindsets that was relevant to excelling as an athlete and as a person.
It was a very fun experience, and I made lots of new friends. I got a lot of instruction on my strokes and my turns, and all four of my strokes showed great improvement.
She loved the sessions, she learned so much on technique. Met some great friends, she wants to come back next year. She especially said the Mindset sessions was a game changer for her. As a 15 yr old HS swimmer it blew her mind what she took away from those sessions.
My son and daughter thoroughly enjoyed the Nike Swim Camp at Hillsdale College. I was very impressed with the personalities and expertise of the camp staff. They were a great influence on my children and provided a fun, positive learning experience.
My daughter had a great time. She loved the detail focused on stroke technique and improvement. She also thought the food was great. My only complaint was that check-in was quite disorganized... I personally had questions in my head as to how the rest of the week would be run after seeing the check in process. Fortunately I was pleasantly surprised as my daughter reported the rest of the week was great and she thoroughly enjoyed it. Thanks for a great week.
My son just started swimming in the last month and was a bit hesitant at first; he immediately felt welcome and had a great time; he went out of his way to say how much time he spent with coaches and addressing his fear of the starting block on day one...he admits he even likes diving in now.
The Hillsdale College swim camp was a valuable experience! Swimmers looking to tweak their strokes, get a great workout and meet new people should definitely attend a Nike Swim Camp at Hillsdale College!
Thank you for everything!!! Loved Coach Kirt and his inspirational talks and his wonderful staff!! My son is such a new swimmer and LOVED the camp. He loved the games like Capture the Flag and running around with the older more experienced group. It was a really inclusive camp atmosphere and all got along well. Really inspiring for him and his friends. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
It was an awesome camp! I improved my swimming significantly and had fun at the same time. I will definitely be returning next year.
Our daughter had a blast, she asked to go next year when we picked her up. She received a lot of good advice and still reads over the suggestions before she swims.
My son really enjoyed the sports psychology aspect of the camp. He spoke a lot about the goal setting. He also liked the drills he learned and felt like they really helped him improve overall.
This was my daughter’s first swim camp and she had a blast. She met new kids and was so excited that you were able to help her with some technique issues she had, especially her breast stroke. Even her coach was so excited to see that you guys were able to help her with her dipping in the breast stoke. She already says she wants to go back next year.
Our daughter was nervous to attend an overnight camp as it was her first, but the first night she was so happy to be there and said it was so much fun. She liked the drills and team Olympic events.
As a parent, mu daughter camp back from camp willing to make the changes suggested. She grew stronger as a swimmer and a teammate. This was a wonderful experience for her and her swimming career.
The camp helped motivate my daughter to focus more on how to improve her strokes and see the fun in swimming again. They were really good about working with each individual personally and also the class room knowledge was great!!

She said the Team Olympics were the most fun part of camp. She also learned about proper technique and how to make those needed adjustments in her strokes.
