Join us this summer at the Nike Track & Field Camp at Ithaca College, where athletes of all levels can take their training to the next level with expert coaching and a dynamic learning environment. Our experienced staff provides in-depth instruction across multiple disciplines, helping campers improve technique, build confidence, and gain a deeper understanding of the sport.

Whether you're looking to improve your fundamentals or sharpen your competitive edge, this camp offers a fun, focused, and supportive atmosphere to help you reach your goals—on and off the track.

This is a day camp where housing is not offered.

Camp Coaches

  • Jennifer Potter

    Camp Director Jennifer Potter

    Jennifer Potter completed her 21st season at the helm of the Ithaca women's track & field program in 2023-24. Potter, an All-American sprinter at Ithaca, has led the Bombers to 10 indoor and 12 outdoor state titles and guided the team to 26 Empire 8 titles in 28 total indoor and outdoor seasons during IC's time as an affiliate. In 2017-18, Ithaca claimed both championships in its first year as a member of the Liberty League. The Bombers also secured both indoor and outdoor conference titles in 2018-19.

  • Stargell Ithaca

    Head Men's Track & Field Coach (Throws) - Ithaca College Stargell Williams

    Stargell Williams was named the next head coach for the men's track & field program on July 30, 2024. Williams replaces long-time coach Jim Nichols, who announced his retirement after 37 years on South Hill, will also serve as the throws coach for the men's and women's teams. He will begin his appointment on August 12.

  • Erin Ithaca

    Head Men's & Women's Cross Country Coach (Distance) - Ithaca College Erin Dinan Frahm

    Erin Dinan completed her 13th season as Ithaca's head women's cross country coach in 2024, and her first as the men's head coach, after serving as an assistant coach for six seasons. Dinan, who continues to serve as an assistant coach for the women’s track & field program, replaced Ithaca College Hall of Fame coach Bill Ware in 2011. In the summer of 2024, Dinan was named the head coach of the men's cross country program.

    Sports Performance Coach/Assistant Track and Field Coach (Pole Vault) Alexandra Rechen

    Alex Rechen joined the sports performance staff at UMass in August 2019 and works directly with the men’s and women’s Track and Field and Cross Country programs as both an Assistant Sports Performance Coach and as an Assistant Track and Field Coach. Thus far at UMass, Rechen has been a part of four Atlantic 10 Championship titles: Women’s Indoor Track and Field 2019, Women’s Outdoor Track and Field 2022, Men’s Cross Country 2024, and Women’s Outdoor Track and Field 2025. She has coached athletes to four individual A10 titles in the women’s pole vault, re-writing the UMass record books along the way; six of the top 10 performers on the indoor list and five of the top 10 performers on the outdoor list have achieved those marks, including the school records, during her tenure.

  • Matt Stasiw

    Graduate Assistant Track & Field Coach (Jumps, Sprints, & Hurdles)/Graduate Student Mental Performance Coach Matt Stasiw

    Matt Stasiw joined Ithaca College Track & Field this past September 2024 and works directly with the men's & women's jumps, sprints, & hurdles as the Graduate Assistant Coach. Coach Stasiw additionally serves as a Mental Performance Coach for Ithaca's Graduate Exercise & Health Sciences Program where he is earning his Master's Degree in Mental Performance. Since joining Ithaca, Coach Stasiw has been a part of one Women's Indoor Track & Field Liberty League Conference Championship and has seen multiple athletes go to the DIII Indoor & Outdoor National Championship meets along the way.

You can expect a high demand on these first-come-first-serve camper spots, so please be sure to register early.

Coach Potter has designed a camp program which focuses on track and field fundamentals including technical event specific drills, stretching, and speed and core strength exercises.

2026 OVERVIEW

  • Dates: July 6-9, 2026 (Mon-Thurs)
  • Gender: Co-ed
  • Camp type: Full Day
  • Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 9:00 AM-3:00 PM
  • Check-in: 15 minutes prior to camp start time
  • Location: Ithaca College Athletics and Events Center - Glazer Arena
  • Meals: Lunch is not provided. Campers should bring their own lunch, water and snacks.
  • Events: Coaching in sprints, hurdles, jumps, pole vault, and throws (shot put, discus, and hammer/weight basics) - NO MIDDLE DISTANCE OFFERED

INSTRUCTION, EQUIPMENT & FACILITY

  • Ratio: 1:10 staff to camper ratio
  • Grouped by: age, ability and experience
  • Evaluation: by coaching staff
  • Equipment Needed: Campers should bring at least one pair of broken in running shoes. Event shoes/spikes are recommended but not required. Please be sure to properly mark your equipment, so that it can be easily identified.
  • Facility: Ithaca College Athletics and Events Center - Glazer Arena

CHECKLIST OF THINGS TO BRING:

Below is a suggested list of clothes, equipment and personal items. US Sports Camps is NOT responsible for lost or stolen articles or money.

ALL CAMPERS:

  • Bathing Suit
  • Extra Athletic clothing
  • 1-2 pairs of broken in running shoes/ event spikes
  • Non-running shoes
  • Water bottle
  • Sunblock
  • Packed lunch and snacks
  • Small gym bag/backpack

TRANSPORTATION

Transportation is not provided. Campers are responsible for getting to and from camp on their own. There is no supervision before or after camp hours so please make arrangements to pick up your child on time.

MEDICAL PROTOCOL

Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

CAMP TUITION PAYMENTS

Full payment of camp fees must be completed by the first day of the month before camp. For example:

  • June Camps: final payment is due on May 1
  • July Camps: final payment is due on June 1
  • August Camps: final payment is due on July 1

Any camper with an unpaid balance 10 days before the start of their camp will forfeit all camp fees paid to date and be removed from the camp.

Your confirmation email shows your balance due and balance due date. Final payments can be made through the US Sports Camps Customer Portal or by phone at 1-800-645-3226.

BEHAVIOR POLICIES

We may ask campers who require 1×1 supervision, disrupt the camp experience, or threaten the safety of themselves or others to leave camp. Behaviors meriting expulsion include, but are not limited to: a cause or threat of violence, putting themselves or others in danger, possession of a weapon, possession or use of alcohol, tobacco, nicotine, drugs or illegal substance, robbery, damage to property, sexual misconduct or assault, harassment, hazing, racist remarks or acts, or intimidation. In those cases, we will contact a parent to pick up the child immediately. We do not issue refunds to campers who are asked to leave camp.

My child does multiple events; will there be opportunities for her to train on multiple skills during camp?

Yes campers can train with multiple event groups.

What does my child need to bring to camp?

Please check your camp webpage for a list of items to bring to camp.

My child is new to the sport, do you accept athletes who are beginners in the sport?

We bring the best out of campers of all skill levels. All we require is a positive attitude.

Our Health & Release Form does not require a doctor’s signature. This form is required to be filled out accurately, and completed online prior to camp arrival.
