US Sports Camps Announces 2014 Nike Basketball Camp Schedule
Nike Basketball Camps now offers over eighty locations nationwide to improve your game this summer.
US Sports Camps, Inc. is pleased to offer several new summer basketball camp locations for both boys and girls. The 2014 schedule features camps from coast to coast with overnight and day camp offerings. The Nike Basketball Camp lineup is headlined by new day camp locations at Cal Berkeley in Berkeley, CA (Boys & Girls sessions) and Saint Anselm College in Manchester, NH (Co-Ed); and new overnight locations at College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, VA (Girls) and Millersville University in Millersville, PA (Boys).
Nike Basketball Camps provide focused, intensive training that is essential to improvement for all skill levels. Every facet of the game is covered with an emphasis on fundamentals to help players become valuable team members. At each location, campers are broken into groups with other players of similar age, abilities and goals. Each camp staff does their best to advance players to the next level, keeping in consideration each camper’s experience and desire to improve.
Long-time Nike Camp director, Lee Miller conducts various camps around the Southeast and reflects on how his camps have changed, “Our camps have evolved over the past ten years to suit the changes in the way the game is played. With our Skill Development Series and our competitive leagues, players definitely get to experience growth in just one week of camp.”
Cal Women's Basketball Head Coach and new Nike Basketball Camp Director, Lindsay Gottlieb adds, "summer is the time when players get better. They get exposure to new techniques, drills, and skill analysis. In addition, playing against top competition and players from other areas is a great way to better understand one's strengths and weaknesses on the court."
Since our inception in 1996, we have hosted over 56,000 campers at our basketball camps. Last summer alone, over 8,000 young athletes got better at a Nike Basketball Camp. This is due in large part to the return of past campers each summer.
“It's amazing how many Nike Campers come back year after year. The main two reasons are the energy our staff brings everyday to camp and the relationships we build with each camper.” says VP of Basketball Operations for US Sports Camps, Brent Koonce. “Our dedicated camp directors are experts in their field and work year round to help players improve.”
