Nike Yoga Camps Opens Two Connecticut Locations for Youth Athletes
San Rafael, CA-US Sports Camps, the official operators of Nike Yoga Camps, partners with Carla Zilka and Jason Papalio of Mantra Mind Body Studio to bring athletic-based, competitive yoga summer camps to the waterfront towns of Greenwich and Stamford, CT.
Nike Yoga Camp Directors, Carla Zilka and Jason Papalio, are firm believers in yoga for athletes. As former high school and collegiate athletes, both turned to yoga to help ease their physical and mental strains. Now instructors with extensive certifications, Carla and Jason have partnered with Nike Yoga Camps to shed awareness and education on why every athlete should practice yoga.
Carla is the proud founder of Mantra Mind Body Studio in Stamford, CT where Jason also teaches. Specializing in Yoga for Sports and Restorative Yoga, Jason has worked privately with professional athletes and D1 college teams including Yale and Columbia University. Jason explains, "The key to Injury Prevention is to introduce yoga to kids at an early age. Those that take yoga seriously have a distinct advantage as athletes over those who don't. Yoga for kids can help them become more body aware, less susceptible to injuries, gain strength, improve flexibility, and so much more. Yoga helps focus the mind on the body."
