Lakeridge High School is one of the best playing surfaces in Portland and one of the nicest high school "FieldTurf" facilities in the Metro area. This type of field helps campers familiarize themselves with playing the game at a high speed, forcing greater anticipation and quicker mental reads, but with a feel that is more like grass.

At the Nike Boys Lacrosse Camp at Lakeridge High School, our goal is to stimulate a love for the game by immersing you in the sport and giving you the kind of focused, intensive training essential to improvement. Over the course of camp, your enthusiasm and self-confidence will grow along with your skills.

Camp Director

Frank Obiesie

Directing the youth camp is Frank Obiesie. Frank grew up on the east coast and played Division II Lacrosse at Queens College (NY). Over the years, Frank has coached numerous teams including Aloha High School (3 years), Starz Lacrosse Club, Rhino Lacrosse, Lake Oswego Youth Select Teams, and the Lake Oswego World Cup Team. He currently serves as the Lakeridge Lacrosse High School Varsity Assistant and Offense Coach and the Head Coach Junior Varsity.

Discounts Available

Team Discount: If five or more campers register together, as a group by mail or fax, each camper will receive a $25 discount. Click “Get Brochure” above and print the application. All applications must be received at the same time via mail or fax. If all members of your group pay with a Visa or MasterCard, feel free to fax your applications to 415-479-6061 to expedite processing. Late or individual registrations are not eligible to receive the group discount.

Goalie Discount: To ensure each session has enough goalies for drills and scrimmages, all goalies automatically qualify for a special $50 discount. You can call 1-800-645-3226 to receive the goalie discount over the phone or you can indicate that you are eligible for the goalie discount in the “comments” field when registering via our secure website. Goalie discount cannot be combined with any other discount.

Sibling Discount: $25 off each player. You can call 1-800-645-3226 to receive the sibling discount over the phone or you can indicate that you are eligible for the sibling discount in the “comments” field when registering via our secure website. Sibling discount cannot be combined with any other discount.

Camp Details

A detailed camper registration packet containing check-in location, health/release forms, emergency contact info, and a list of things to bring will be emailed to all registered campers prior to camp. Our health and release forms do not require a doctor's signature and they will be collected on the first day of camp.

Check-in

• Check-in takes place at the Lakeridge High School field at 9:45am Monday, June 24th.

• Camp begins at 10:00am.

Camp Ends

• Camp ends at 4:00pm each day.

• There will be a closing ceremony at 3:45pm on Wednesday, June 26th.

Great coach/camper ratio.

Coach Obiesie was great and had such a positive influence on my boys. They had a great time and learned so much. I especially appreciated that the number of campers was kept to a manageable size, so it allowed for a great ratio of coaches to campers. It was a great experience for them and they will definitely attend camp again.
