Barry Friedman
Camp Director
Barry Friedman has been the Director of Tennis at The Claremont Club since 1994.
He has been a full-time tennis professional since 1977. He is a USPTA Level I Professional. His many certifications include the USTA High Performance Coaching Program. Currently he is the Head Coach and administrator for the San Gabriel Valley CTC which is part of the USTA national junior player development Program. Barry has coached sectional teams to National Championships and has coached players ranked from the sectional level to those internationally ranked. Barry also enjoys teaching and developing players of all ages and levels. Another aspect of Barry's involvement in tennis is that he directs numerous sanctioned events for the USTA including a men's pro future's event and a boy's and girl's 12's and 14's National Open. Barry played junior tennis in Northern California. He attended UCLA where he earned a degree in Economics and was a member of the tennis team. Barry is married with two grown daughters.
