Brian Mason
Assistant Coach
Salem softball head coach Courtney Tucker announced the addition of Assistant Coach Brian Mason to the staff during the fall of the 2024 season. Mason spent 20 years in the United States military, including 10 years at Fort Bragg, where he served in the Third Special Forces Group (A). While in this capacity he was able to organize, teach and train combat forces.
Mason has spent the last 10 years as an active coach with recreation and travel softball, including five with the Lady Dukes. He is a member of the National Fastpitch Coaches Association as well.
Mason earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology: Application Software Development and Network Administration from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke in 2020.
He currently resides in Raeford, N.C., with his wife and youngest daughter. Mason has three daughters and one son.
