Craig Foley

Craig Foley enters is his second season as the Defensive Backs Coach for the Kentucky State football joining the program in the Spring of 2022.

Prior to joining Kentucky State, he served as the Head Coach of the Frankfort High School Panthers from 2003-2021. In his 19 years of leading the Panthers, he became the winningest coach in school history with 146 wins, transitioned over 40 student-athletes to the collegiate level, along with earning 11 District Titles and two Regional Championships

While at Frankfort High he was named District Coach of the Year 7 times and named 2012 KHSAA Class A Coach of the Year. His coaching accolades continue as he served as the Assistant Coach for Kentucky East/West All-Star Game in 2017 and 2018 along with Assistant Coach of the Best of the Bluegrass All-Star Game in 2014 and 2015 while serving as Head Coach of the Best of The Bluegrass All-Star game in 2016.

Prior to coming to Frankfort High School, Coach Foley coached one season as defensive coordinator at Franklin County High School.

He served nine seasons at Bourbon County High School where he coached numerous positions while also serving as the Defensive Coordinator for two seasons. In his first year on the coaching staff Bourbon County High School became 1997 KHSAA State Champions.

Coach Foley played football at Georgetown College from 1990-1992 and was a member of the 1991 NAIA National Champions that defeated Pacific Lutheran 28-20. He graduated from Georgetown with a Bachelors of Science in Health/Physical Education and started teaching in 1995.

Foley earned two Masters one in Secondary Education in 2000 and Educational Leadership in 2015 he currently serves as Assistant Principal at Frankfort High School.

Foley is married to Shawn Elam Foley and has 3 children Dawson, Anna, and Addison.
