Patrick Hertel
Camp Director
Patrick's passion is giving back and coaching, whether in sports or in his professional career as a Vice President of Sales responsible for his company's Revenue success. He has lived in 5 different countries in his lifetime which has allowed him to experience many walks of life and cultures. As a result, Patrick played multiple sports growing up from Baseball, basketball, volleyball, soccer and Rugby. He is married to his wife Renee, who is a big flag football mom! They have 2 boys Porter and Paxon that Patrick currently coaches. Hertel have coached in the NFL Flag Football league now for 6 seasons, and in the I9 Sports flag football league.
In high school, after moving from England to the US, his focus switched to Rugby where he excelled. Patrick ended up playing for the state of Minnesota and was invited to play for the US under 21 Eagles National squad.
After his rugby career, he was still very competitive and switched to a more individualized sport in Bodybuilding. He most recently won the MR. Minnesota Men's Physique title at the Gopher State in 2019. Bodybuilding has taught Patrick discipline, efficiency and consistency, all transferable skills to flag football.
