Ryan Butner
Coach
Ryan is the Head Football Coach at Central Valley High School in Spokane Valley, Washington. Coach Butner was an assistant in the program from 1997 until he took over the reigns in 2016. He has coached wide receivers, running backs, quarterbacks, and defensive backs. He has been named Greater Spokane League Coach of the Year in 2016 & 2017 as well as District 8 Coach of the Year for the State of Washington. Ryan has also twice been recognized as the Seattle Seahawks Coach of the Week. The 2017 team made it to the State Semifinals and finished 3rd.
Ryan has been teaching for 16 years at Central Valley in the Health & Fitness department. He also coached baseball and wrestling at CV during this time. Ryan has been involved in the summer weight training program throughout his time at CV.
Ryan is married to Heather and they have three children, Beau (14), and their twins Ben (11) and Sophie (11)
