Learn from the Best at the Cal Diving Camp at UC Berkeley! Cal is offering an outstanding diving technique camp this winter on the beautiful campus of the University of California, Berkeley. The focus will be on the dry-land stretching routines of successful divers, as well as the technical work done to help achieve success at the desired level.
Campers will train at Legends Aquatics Center, which is one of the finest outdoor facilities in the United States. The main entrance to Legends Aquatic Center is on Bancroft Ave, one block down from Spieker Pool and RSF. Parking is available in the RSF Garage located on Bancroft or metered street parking.
All Cal Sports Camps are open to any and all entrants. For your safety and benefit, we recommend you choose a camp that fits your level of development. All events are subject to change based on NCAA and Covid-19 restrictions. Due to high demand and limited capacity, prices are subject to increase as camp exceeds 25%/50%/75% capacity.

Camp Director Pei Lin
Pei Lin, a three-time NCAA runner-up and a Chinese national champion, was named head diving coach at California on April, 28, 2022, and oversees diving for both the men's and women's programs. She enters her first season on staff with the Golden Bears in 2022-23.View Pei Lin's Bio ⟩
Lin most recently served as head diving coach at the University of South Dakota for the 2021-22 season, which followed two years as a graduate assistant diving coach at Ohio State. She has also spent time working as an assistant coach with the California Diving Academy in nearby San Ramon and with the Guangdong Diving Team in Guangzhou, China.
Lin competed collegiately at Miami (Ohio) from 2015-18, where she was a four-time MAC Diver of the Year. She captured seven MAC championships – four on the 3-meter springboard and three on the 1-meter board – and won six NCAA zone titles. At the NCAA Championships, she placed second on 3-meter three years in a row, took third on 1-meter as a sophomore in 2016 and totaled seven top-10 finishes.
Lin, who set Miami records on both boards, scored a MAC meet record 338.90 points on 1-meter in 2016, while she set the MAC record on 3-meter with a score of 409.70 at the 2015 NCAA Championships.
Lin began her coaching career as a graduate assistant at Ohio State in 2019. In two years with the Buckeyes, she coached three Big Ten champions with six divers qualifying for the NCAA Championships. During her one season at South Dakota, she coached Stella Fairbanks to a Summit League title on 1-meter. Lin also served as an assistant coach at the California Diving Academy, managing a team of 40 divers, from 2018-19, and was a volunteer coach in Guangzhou, China from 2015-17.
Lin grew up in Shantou City of Guangdong Province in China. She began diving at age 13.
Lin earned her bachelor's degree in public health from Miami in 2018 and a master of sport coaching from Ohio State in 2021.

You can expect a high demand on these first-come-first-serve camper spots, so please be sure to register early. This winter, Cal is offering one session of day camp (9:30am-3:30pm) for ages 8-18. The CAL Diving Camp is designed for campers at any and all levels of diving, from the beginner (see note below) to the advanced. Athletes will be grouped by age and ability. The focus will be on the dry-land stretching routines of successful divers, as well as the technical work done to help achieve success at the desired level.

- Check-In: 9:15am - 9:30am at Legends Aquatics Center
- Lunch: Lunch is not provided. Please bring a packed lunch.
- Program: The program will begin each day with a dry-land stretching session, followed by intense water work. A break for lunch (please bring a lunch from home) and some activities will be followed by another water workout and then dismissal from camp. The CAL Diving camp gives divers of all levels the chance to learn from the very best, including members of the CAL Dive Team and coaching staff.
Important note: All age groups are expected to have experience with diving before and wanting to learn more about the sport. We recommend they have at least 6 months of diving lesson/club experience. Enrollment will be limited to ensure that individuals will receive special attention and maximize their participation. For your safety and benefit, know how to do the following dives below:

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE FEE?
- Instruction: Morning and afternoon training sessions
- Supervision: Campers are supervised by staff during camp hours.
- Camp T-shirt & Prizes: Campers will receive a Cal Camps t-shirt and prizes.
INSTRUCTION, EQUIPMENT & FACILITY
- Ratio: 1:10 staff-to-camper ratio
- Groupings: Campers are grouped by age, ability, and experience.
- Equipment Needed: Please bring your water swimsuit, swim cap, googles and towel(s)
- Facility: Legends Aquatic Center
- Medical Protocol: Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

Transportation is not provided. Campers are responsible for getting to and from camp on their own. There is no supervision before or after camp hours so please make arrangements to pick up your child on time.
