Damien Prohaska - Director


Damien Prohaska joined the Blue tennis program as Assistant Coach in 2021. As Assistant Coach and Recruiting Coordinator for the Blue, he has been instrumental in spearheading the overall recruiting efforts of the tennis program. In 2023, his efforts resulted in the Blue earning the 16th-ranked recruiting class in NCAA Division III women's tennis, according to the Tennis Recruiting Network.

Prohaska joined the Blue after working as the admissions counselor and athletics liaison at UMass. Dartmouth, where he managed recruitment and outreach across New England and the Mid-Atlantic region, among various other responsibilities. Prohaska also serserved as the graduate assistant men's and women's tennis coach from 2018-2020 at Regis College, where he evaluated recruits, organized social media campaigns, and developed weekly conditioning and on-court practice plans.

From 2012-2016, Prohaska was a four year member of the tennis team at SUNY Oneonta in Oneonta, New York. Prohaska was also named the team captain and finished his senior year with a record of 9-2 in singles matches, and 1-0 in doubles matches.

Originally from Binghamton, New York, Prohaska earned his Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in mass communication and media studies at the State University of New York (SUNY) College of Oneonta. He then earned his Master's Degree in strategic and sports communication at Regis College in May, 2020.
