Sprandel Coach Daniel Kamenetzky

Daniel is a Professor of Physical Education from Argentina, who graduated from Buenos Aires University of Physical Education and is the founder of Spandrel School of Sports. He started Sprandel to be a soccer school for youth with the goal of “changing the way of teaching sports”. His background includes a Masters Degree in business Administration, a Masters degree in Kinesiology, undergraduate education in Biology at the School of Sciences in Buenos Aires, and numerous professional courses including USA Track and Field Coaching, USA Rugby Coaching, Anthropometry ISAK, among others.

He worked for 13 years in the Argentinean educational and sports performance system, with children and youths, teaching physical education and a number of different sports such as soccer, track & field, rugby, and swimming. Daniel has also worked in a High Performance laboratory studying athletes physical capacity, and together with a multidisciplinary team in training and rehabilitating competitive and recreational athletes. In line with his interest in sport education, he created several programs for schools and sports teams. He also worked as a consultant for different sports programs in schools and clubs. His background has led him to have the ability to perform sports evaluations and provide objective data to coaches and athletes to improve personalized training designs. He was part of the team of performance consultants who worked with the professional soccer team Ferrocarril Oeste and River Plate for the evaluation and analysis of their players. They also evaluated and performed consulting work with professional basketball teams, competitive swimming teams, and rowing teams.

At last, as part of his professional career, he has been training competitive and recreational athletes of both genders and all ages. In addition, and since living in the U.S., he worked as the fitness coach for the women's rugby team at the University of California, Berkeley (CA). He started the women's rugby team at St. Mary's College in Moraga (CA), designed and started the Athlete Development Program at Children’s Hospital in Oakland and Walnut Creek, and helped to start their laboratory for evaluation and analysis of young athletes. He created the high performance fitness program for the Northern California Rugby Referees Society.

Currently he’s actively involved in designing innovative sports businesses, participating in new sports enterprises, collaborating with sport professionals with the goal of exploring novel sports opportunities and in creative new sports ventures. With his broad experience and professional and educational backgrounds, he’s looking forward to participate in the creation and development of the future of sport.
