Douglas Oliveira

Douglas Oliveira is an assistant coach with the Liberty University men’s soccer program, bringing experience from the collegiate, USL League Two, and player‑development levels. Prior to joining the Flames, Oliveira served as an assistant coach with Mississippi Brilla FC, a USL League Two club based in Clinton, Mississippi. In addition to competing at a high level, the organization is known for its strong community impact through its Urban Soccer Project, which focuses on inner‑city outreach and player development. During his time at Liberty, Oliveira also served as the Flames’ team manager while completing his graduate studies.
A native of Campinas, Brazil, Oliveira enjoyed a successful collegiate playing career, competing at both Indiana Wesleyan University and John Brown University. A dependable center back, he helped Indiana Wesleyan reach the NCCAA National Championship final. Oliveira also competed at the pre‑professional level with the Charlotte Eagles of USL League Two, where he earned All‑Conference honors and helped the Eagles capture a league championship.
Oliveira earned his bachelor’s degree in exercise science with a minor in coaching from Indiana Wesleyan University and later completed a master’s degree in human performance with a strength and conditioning cognate from Liberty University. He holds a U.S. Soccer National “D” Coaching License and is passionate about developing players both on and off the field.
