Nike Running Camps Announces Dates For The New Nike Deep South Cross Country Camp

The Nike Deep South XC Camp runs June 21-25.

Located in Huntsville, Alabama, the Nike Deep South XC Camp announces June 21-25 as its camp dates for 2020. This Nike Camp offers runners around the deep south the opportunity for an unparalleled camp experience that only a Nike Running camp can offer, so close to home. XC athletes train with peers during the summer in new venues and with other motivated runners.

Camp Director and Huntsville High School Coach Blake Borden says, “Huntsville is a city on the rise and is one of the most intelligent cities in the country. The running community is extremely strong as is the diverse offerings of sport in the city. Now, with the first year of Nike's new Deep South Running Camp held on the campus of University of Alabama at Huntsville, the city is taking that statement to an entirely new level. Come join us! "

Campers stay in the University of Alabama in Huntsville dorms, eat in the dining hall and run at local Huntsville trails and on the University’s Milton Frank Stadium track for pacing workouts. Skills reviewed include proper and efficient running form, Effort Based Training workouts, nutrition and XC season prep. The camp is coed, overnight and day campers, ages 13-18. All ability levels are welcome, those with the desire to train smarter, work hard and to have fun.
