Come experience Memphis and state-of-the-art Leftwich Tennis Center! With an abundance of tennis courts and amazing views, Leftwich Tennis Center has been all the rave in 2024. Your camp experience will focus on the 5 play situations that all tennis players encounter: baseline play, serves, returns, forward transitions and reacting to forward transitions from your opponent.
Your time on the court will consist fast-paced drills, singles and doubles situation play and strategy, and tons of fun!

Camp Coaches

Camp Director Scott Mitchell
Scott is a USPTA Master Professional and considered an industry leader in first-class facility management, junior and adult coaching, and program design and implementation. He is also a former #1 ranked doubles play in the United States and former Indiana U. collegiate player. Scott’s coaching background is extensive as he has won a National Championship as an assistant coach at Georgia Perimeter College. He also coached the GPC #1 player to a win over then NCAA #1, has been a USTA National Zonal Coach working with many of the nation’s top boys and girls. Scott is one of the industries leaders in developing both adults and juniors and their tennis. He has coached numerous juniors to play collegiate tennis and has coached over 50 adult league champions.

CAMP PROGRAM
Camp is geared towards adult players of all levels. Upon arrival, all participants are evaluated by the staff so that their own instructional needs can be addressed throughout the week. Camp includes drills, match play, personal evaluation, and a welcome dinner on Friday evening.
We offer adult day camps that run Friday-Sunday for men and women, ages 18+, of all abilities.
CHECK-IN/OUT
- Check-in: 5:30pm on Friday at the tennis courts.
- Check-out: 11:00am on Sunday at the tennis courts.
- Daily Schedule: Friday 6:00pm-8:00pm, Saturday 9:00am-12:00pm & 2:00pm-5:00pm (2 hour lunch break), and Sunday 8:00am-11:00am
MEALS
There will be a Nike Player Reception on Friday evening. Players may bring a snack but will need to coordinate lunch and dinner for Saturday on their own.
INSTRUCTION, EQUIPMENT & FACILITY
- Ratio: 6:1 camper-to-coach ratio
- Groupings: Campers are grouped by age, ability, and experience
- Equipment Needed: All campers must bring a tennis racquet, tennis shoes, and a water bottle
- Facility: 36 hard courts, 12 indoor courts, full locker-rooms, training room, class room, conference room, VIP Lounge, and amazing views. The Leftwich Tennis Center is considered to be one of the finest public tennis facilities in the country.
- Inclement Weather Plan: Access to indoor courts is available, class rooms to do chalk-talks if needed, as well as our training room.
- Medical Protocol: Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.
OVERNIGHT ACCOMMODATIONS
For anyone interested in staying close to camp, we have a preferred rate available at the Courtyard Park Avenue (6015 Park Avenue, Memphis, TN) down the street from the tennis center. These rooms will be $124/night with the enhanced breakfast using code "Nike Camp". You can book these rooms through the link provided below.
Please note: This is a Day Camp only. The camp tuition DOES NOT include housing. Campers are required to provide their own overnight accommodations.
