Tennis Tip: Improving Your Mental Toughness

Want to improve your mental toughness?  Jonathon Sarosiek, Director of Tennis at Wintergreen Resort offers up two important things to remember:

  1. Consistent routine between points - whether you walk back to the fence after each point, or simply look at your strings, it is important to keep a consistent routine.  This keeps you in the moment and focused on each individual point. 
  2. Positive body language and self-talk between points - whether you are winning or losing, it is important to stay positive and get yourself ready for the next point.
