Lessler came to Columbus following one season as an assistant coach at Charleston Southern. Lessler was the hitting coach and helped lead the Buccaneers to a .285 team batting average and a berth in the Big South Championship game in 2022.

Prior to his one year in Charleston, Lessler spent three seasons at Cal, serving as the Golden Bears’ infield, catching and base running coach while also getting to work with the program’s hitters. Lessler also served as the third base coach and played a large roll in recruiting players.

During his tenure in Berkeley, Lessler coached 21 MLB Draft selections, including two first round picks in Andrew Vaughn (No. 3 overall, Chicago White Sox) and Korey Lee (No. 32 overall, Houston Astros). Vaughn quickly shot up the ranks for the White Sox appearing in 127 MLB games and racking up 469 plate appearances in 2021 while hitting 15 home runs in just his second year in professional baseball after being drafted out of Cal, and is currently enjoying an everyday roll with the club. In 2018 Vaughn won the prestigious Golden Spikes Award as the country’s top amateur baseball player and was again a finalist for the award in 2019.

In 2019 the Golden Bears earned a trip to the NCAA Fayetteville Regional as the No. 2 seed at Arkansas as a reward for a regular season that saw the Bears finish fourth in the Pac-12 and bolster an RPI of 31 at the conclusion of the regular season. During his time as a coach in Berkely, which included the 2020 season that was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Cal racked up a total of 69 victories including two seasons in which the program won 32 regular season games.

Throughout his 13+ years of coaching and helping to develop players, Lessler has coached more than 50 student-athletes that went on to hear their names called in the MLB draft or sign a contract with an MLB organization as a free agent, while others have gone on to play unaffiliated independent professional baseball.

Before coaching at Cal, Lessler served as recruiting coordinator and assistant coach at San Jose State in the Mountain West Conference while also working with hitters, infielders and coaching third base. During his time in San Jose, Lessler was responsible for the No. 54 recruiting class in America by Perfect Game. That class would include Ruben Ibarra, who would eventually be selected in the 4th round of the 2021 MLB draft by the Cincinnati Reds, and several other players who would go on to be drafted by MLB organizations.

Prior to joining the Spartans, Lessler spent the 2016 season as an assistant coach at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo in the Big West Conference under Head Coach, Larry Lee where he coached a team that produced more than a handful of future professional players including Houston Astros prospect Alex McKenna, and current major leaguer Spencer Howard, formerly of the Philadelphia Phillies and currently a member of the Texas Rangers.

During the 2015 season Lessler coached at Southern Mississippi where he served as an assistant for head coach Scott Berry’s club that finished with a record of 36-18-1 and narrowly missed out on an NCAA Regional bid. Through various stints at Southern Miss, Lessler has not only coached and assisted with everything from hitting, infield, base running and operations but also served as coordinator of Golden Eagle Baseball Camps for the program. No stranger to Southern Miss, while pursuing his master’s degree and playing independent professional baseball, Lessler had previously served as a graduate assistant for the Human Performance and Recreation Department while coincidingly working with the baseball team under then head coach Corky Palmer and his assistant coaches Lane Burroughs and Scott Berry.

In 2013 and 2014, he served as assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Chico State in Northern California and helped the Wildcats achieve a combined record of 80-33. Working again with hitters and infielders, he helped Chico State compile a .977 fielding percentage in 2014, a mark that ranked first in all of NCAA Division II baseball that year and produced the Rawlings National Defensive Player of the Year in Gold Glove recipient, shortstop Cody Slader. Chico State reached the NCAA Division II West Region finals in 2013 and the Division II College World Series in 2014 where they were eventually eliminated by the University of Tampa.

Lessler’s very first full-time coaching stint in Division I took place at Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan, where he worked as assistant coach for then head coach, John Musachio, assisting with all aspects of the Golden Grizzlies program. During that successful season the Golden Grizzlies fell to then conference foe Oral Roberts in the Summit League Championship playing for an opportunity to advance to an NCAA regional. That team would produce several MLB draft selections including Jake Morton, Hayden Fox and Jake Paulson.

Coach Lessler also served as the Associate Head Coach for the Bellingham Bells of the West Coast Collegiate Baseball League during the summer of 2012 working with coaches Gary Hatch and Jim Clem.

An infielder by trade, Lessler played professionally in the Northern League, the American Association and the Frontier League in addition to playing in five different countries and helping to develop youth programs abroad. Lessler played shortstop at Castro Valley High School and then collegiately at Mesa (Ariz.) Community College, Sonoma State and Mississippi Valley State before heading to Hattiesburg Mississippi in pursuit of his master’s degree at Southern Miss.

Lessler holds several academic degrees including a master’s degree in sports administration from Southern Mississippi and a bachelor’s degree in mass communications from Mississippi Valley State where he earned valedictorian honors from the university.

Mosiello was the associate head coach at TCU for nine seasons (2014-22) before coming to Columbus. He has nearly 30 years of collegiate coaching experience and seven more years of experience as a minor league manager. His talents were rewarded in the summer of 2017 as he was tabbed a coach on the USA Baseball 18U National Team in addition to being the 2018 16U NTDP head coach. Over the course of his career, Mosiello has coached over 90 major league players, 28 All-Stars, two batting title winners, two AL MVPs, one AL Rookie of the Year and 2012 Cy Young award winner R.A. Dickey.

At TCU, Mosiello helped guide TCU to four straight appearances in the College World Series (2014-17) and seven NCAA Tournaments. The Horned Frogs won seven Big 12 titles in his nine seasons and was the winningest baseball program in the country from 2014-17 with 199 total wins. Mosiello was also instrumental in recruiting three Top 10 classes in his time in Fort Worth.

One of the most respected offensive minds in the game, the Frogs have flourished under Mosiello’s guidance. The Horned Frogs led the Big 12 in batting average in two different seasons and ranked second among Power 5 schools with more than 800 stolen bases from 2014-22. Four times the Frogs surpassed the 100-stolen base mark over Mosiello’s tenure.

TCU ranked in the top 50 nationally in runs per game six times under Mosiello and along with the increased run production, TCU’s home run totals have climbed each season. The Frogs hit 65 in 2019, the most since the 2010 campaign and slugged 62 in his final season in 2022.

Prior to TCU, he spent two seasons at Tennessee serving as the recruiting coordinator and hitting instructor. In Knoxville, he helped recruit a top 20 class each season and coached 11 players drafted in the MLB draft in first year of eligibility.

Prior to his stint at Tennessee, Mosiello served as the manager of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim’s Double-A affiliate, the Arkansas Travelers where he tutored MLB phenom Mike Trout for nearly two full seasons.

Mosiello joined the Angels organization in 2009, spending his first two seasons as the manager of the single-A Cedar Rapids Kernels. He guided them to a 160-116 record (.580) during the 2009 and 2010 campaigns. Mosiello owns a career managerial record of 383-294 (.566) in the minor leagues, including his two years at Cedar Rapids and parts of three seasons in the New York Yankees organization from 2004-06.

Between his stints with the Yankees and Angels, Mosiello returned to the collegiate ranks as a hitting coach at USC in 2007 and at Auburn in 2008.

Prior to USC, Mosiello spent four years with the New York Yankees organization, including two as the manager for the Charleston RiverDogs, the Yankees’ single-A affiliate of the South Atlantic League, where he posted a two-year record of 129-98 (.568). He also managed the Battle Creek Yankees in 2004 and spent a season as the hitting instructor for the Trenton Thunder (AA).

Before beginning his minor league career, Mosiello spent 15 seasons in the collegiate coaching ranks. After the completion of his playing career at Fresno State in 1986, he began his coaching career at Cerritos College where he posted a 163-34 record in four seasons (1987-90), won four South Coast Conference titles and two California state junior college championships.

Mosiello made the move to the Division I level in 1991, joining Augie Garrido’s staff at Cal State Fullerton where he spent two seasons (1991-92). In 1992, the Titans advanced to the College World Series championship game, featuring Golden Spikes Award winner and No. 1 overall draft selection Phil Nevin.

After his first two seasons at Tennessee (1993-94) and one season as the pitching coach at Ole Miss (1995), Mosiello spent five seasons (1996-2000) at Oklahoma with part of his tenure as associate head coach. The Sooners made three regional appearances and won the 1997 Big 12 Tournament. He then spent the 2001 season at Arizona State before joining the Yankees.

Mosiello has earned Manager of the Year honors twice in the Alaska Summer League (1990, 1991) and once in the Cape Cod Baseball League (1998).

Mosiello and his wife, Janelle, have three sons; Shane, Gehrig and Helton.

Allen served on David Pierce’s staffs for 11 seasons at Texas, Tulane and Sam Houston State. Allen was Texas’s hitting coach and recruiting coordinator from 2017-19 and transitioned to the role of pitching coach in 2020 and remained the Longhorns’ recruiting coordinator. After a tremendous 2021 campaign, Allen was named the Dl Baseball Assistant of the Year.

The Longhorns advanced to the College World Series in each of Allen’s final two seasons on staff. In 2022, the Texas pitching staff ranked 26th nationally in ERA (4.22) and led the Big 12 in ERA. The Longhorns rolled through the Austin Regional and then took the final two games of the Greenville Super Regional vs. ECU to earn their trip to Omaha.

The 2021 season saw Texas return to the College World Series and come just one game shy of the CWS Finals. Under Allen’s guidance, the Longhorn pitching staff compiled the nation’s best ERA of 2.93. The front-end of Allen’s staff was led by a pair of All-Big 12 starters, the Big 12 Conference Pitcher of the Year Ty Madden and Tristan Stevens. Madden finished the year with a 2.45 ERA, a 7-5 record and 137 strikeouts in 113.2 innings pitched. Stevens led the Big 12 with 11 wins and finished with a 3.31 ERA in 111.1 innings. The backend of the bullpen was secured by the Freshman All-American duo of Aaron Nixon and Tanner Witt. Nixon led the Longhorns with nine saves and had a 2.12 ERA with 35 strikeouts in 34 innings. Witt went 5-0 with five saves, a 3.16 ERA and 73 strikeouts in 57 innings pitched.

The pitching staff flourished under Allen during the shortened 2020 season, compiling a 2.59 ERA with 168 strikeouts in 153 innings. Junior RHP Bryce Elder was named to the shortened-season Collegiate Baseball Newspaper All-America second team and freshman LHP was named as a Freshman All-American by Collegiate Baseball Newspaper.

In 2018, Allen helped the Longhorns to a .271 batting average, a .431 slugging percentage, and 62 home runs, the highest marks for a Texas team in the BBCOR era. With help from Allen, second baseman Kody Clemens produced one of the most impressive offensive seasons in Longhorns history to earn unanimous first team All-America honors. Additionally, under Allen’s guidance, the Longhorns’ 2018 recruiting class ranked No. 9 by Perfect Game.

The Carlsbad, N.M., native went to Austin with 15 years of coaching experience at the collegiate level. While at Tulane, he was Pierce’s lead recruiter, playing a major part in leading Tulane to NCAA Regional appearances in both of his seasons in New Orleans.

In addition to recruiting, Allen worked primarily with hitters and infielders. Under his guidance, the Tulane offense pounded out 66 home runs to lead the American Athletic Conference and rank 13th in the nation in 2016. Tulane had three players hit double-digit home runs in a single season for the first time since 2005, while leading the AAC in slugging percentage (.423) and ranking second in runs scored (355), RBI (324) and walks (258).

Five hitters earned all-conference honors, including shortstop Stephen Alemais, who became a 2016 All-AAC First Team selection and a third-round pick (No. 105 overall) of the Pittsburgh Pirates in this year’s Major League Baseball Draft.

Prior to Tulane, Allen served as an assistant coach with Pierce at Sam Houston State for three seasons. There, he helped the Bearkats to three straight Southland Conference titles, while receiving NCAA Regional berths in each of those seasons. In 2014, the team ranked 25th in the nation and second in the conference in hits (610). It also led the conference in scoring (5.7 rpg), home runs (31) and slugging percentage (.390).

From 2008 to 2011, Allen served as an assistant coach at Florida International University, where he was recruiting coordinator and pitching coach and assisted with the infielders. Allen helped the Panthers put together a 130-103-1 record, while also earning NCAA Regional berths in 2010 and 2011 and capturing the Sun Belt Conference title in 2010.

In his first full season as pitching coach in 2009, Allen was instrumental in turning around FIU’s staff. After finishing at or near the bottom of the Sun Belt in 2008 in various categories, his tutelage turned the Panthers’ staff into one of the conference’s best. For most of 2009, FIU led the conference in ERA, while the Panthers finished with the lead in strikeouts and surrendered the fewest walks with a single-season school record low of 88.

Allen’s coaching career began as a student assistant with Houston in 2002 where he worked with the UH infield and coached first base. He spent the next five seasons as an assistant coach with the Cougars, helping guide UH to NCAA Tournament appearances in 2002, 2003 and 2006.

As Houston’s hitting and infield coach, Allen played a major role in the offensive development of Brad Lincoln, a consensus All-American who was named the National Player of the Year by four different outlets in 2006. That same season, Allen’s lineup hit 71 home runs, the fifth-highest total in UH single-season history, while batting .314 and slugging .544.

A four-year letterman with the Cougars from 1998 to 2001, Allen concluded his playing career as UH’s all-time leader with 542 assists. During that time, the Cougars competed in an NCAA Super Regional and advanced to NCAA postseason play in three consecutive seasons.

Allen earned his bachelor’s degree in sports administration from Houston in 2001. He is married to the former Stephanie Beyelia, a former soccer standout at UH.

See and the Tigers enjoyed a great deal of success in his seven seasons. In 2021, Mack Anglin led the team in strikeouts, was an All-ACC Freshman and was one of four Tigers pitchers drafted. The 2020 Tigers had a 2.60 ERA, was 6-0 in one-run games and ended the season ranked as high as No. 19 in the nation. Sam Weatherly, who was a third-team All-American and third-round draft pick, was 2-0 with an 0.79 ERA, .096 opponents’ batting average and 43 strikeouts in 22.2 innings pitched.

The 2018 Tigers totaled 47 overall wins, 22 ACC regular-season victories, a share of the ACC regular-season title and an outright ACC Atlantic Division championship. Those four achievements were all firsts for the program since 2006. The pitching staff had a 3.65 ERA and 21 saves, tied for second most in Tiger history. Ryley Gilliam was a second-team All-American and First-Team All-ACC selection who had a 1.41 ERA and 11 saves.

In 2017, the Tigers totaled 42 wins and hosted a regional. The pitching staff was one of the most consistent aspects of the team, as it easily led the nation in strikeout-to-walk ratio (3.93). Clemson had a 3.59 ERA and 562 strikeouts against only 143 walks. Pat Krall, a Senior CLASS Award finalist, was a Second-Team All-ACC selection, while Charlie Barnes was a Third-Team All-ACC pick.

See coached the 2016 team, who was ranked No. 15 in the final USA Today coaches poll, to 44 wins, the ACC title and a top-eight national seed. A major key was Clemson’s 14 one-run wins and 5-1 record in extra-inning games. Pat Krall, a first-team All-American, led the pitching staff, as he became the first Tiger in history to lead the team outright in wins (10) and saves (5) in a season. He was 10-2 with an ACC-best 1.67 ERA in 80.2 innings pitched over 29 appearances (three starts). For his efforts, he was named one of the top-11 assistant coaches in the nation after the season by D1Baseball. He was also rated tied for the No. 29 recruiter in the nation by D1Baseball prior to the 2017 season.

Prior to Clemson, See worked three seasons (2013-15) as pitching coach at Duke.

In 2014 and 2015, See led the Blue Devils to their best-two ERA marks since the advent of the aluminum bat. Despite his top-two starters suffering injuries in 2015, the staff had a 3.29 ERA, while his 2014 staff had a 3.14 ERA, the program’s best mark since 1971 and its first sub-4.00 ERA since 1993.

The 2015 Blue Devil staff featured Michael Matuella, one of the best righthanders in the nation who was drafted in the third round. Duke had 441 strikeouts, third most in school history. In 2014, Duke totaled a school-record 501 strikeouts thanks in large part to Matuella and Drew Van Orden, who was drafted in the fifth round.

From 2007-12, See served as pitching coach and recruiting coordinator at his alma mater, Ohio. During his final three seasons with the Bobcat program, he served as associate head coach. His 2008 and 2010 recruiting classes earned honorable mention honors by Collegiate Baseball.

In 2005 and 2006, See was an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at App State under Head Coach Chris Pollard after serving one season as an assistant coach at UNC Greensboro in 2004, when he coached future major leaguer Danny Valencia. In the summer of 2005, he also was the head coach of the Southern Ohio Copperheads.

See started his coaching career as a student assistant coach (2002) and graduate assistant coach (2003) at Ohio. The 2003 Bobcat squad had a 35-23 record. See coached future major leaguers Adam Fox, Marc Krauss and Adam Russell during his two stints at Ohio.

See played three seasons at Ohio from 1999-01 after transferring from Georgia following his freshman campaign in 1998. In addition to playing center field and first base at Ohio, he was a starting pitcher in the weekend rotation for two years and served as the Bobcat closer as a senior.

See had a .350 career batting average with 33 home runs and 116 RBIs, while posting a 13-12 record with 125 strikeouts on the mound. He earned All-Mideast Region and First-Team All-MAC honors as a senior after leading the Bobcats with 17 homers, tied for third most in Ohio history, and a then-school-record 70 RBIs. He finished his career second in Bobcats history with a .647 career slugging percentage and was seventh in career home runs.

A native of Adrian, Mich., See played professionally for the Chillicothe Paints in the Frontier (Independent) League for three years (2001-03). During his final season, he led the team with eight saves while also serving as the team’s bullpen coach.

He graduated from Ohio in 2002 with a bachelor’s degree in sport industry and earned a master’s degree in coaching education from Ohio in 2003. See and his wife, Shauna, have a daughter, Vail. See was born Jan. 20, 1979 in Cumberland, Md.

The Wildcats finished the 2022 season with a 29-29 record (8-16 Big 12) and reached the semifinal round of the Big 12 Baseball Championship for the second consecutive season.

The 2021 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft saw three of Taylor’s pitchers selected within the first 15 rounds, including the program’s first-ever first-round pick in left-hander Jordan Wicks (21st overall by the Chicago Cubs). In less than two and a half seasons, Wicks went on to finish his career as K-State’s all-time strikeout leader with 230 and also broke the Wildcats’ single-season record with 118 strikeouts in 2021.

As a staff in 2021, K-State pitchers combined for 541 strikeouts to shatter the previous mark of 453. The team’s 9.9 strikeout-per-nine innings also set a new program best (8.6 K/9 in 1969). The pitching staff was a chief reason K-State was able to claim series victories over No. 3 Texas Tech and No. 5 TCU on their way to picking up six top-10 wins during the 2021 season.

The 2019 season saw Taylor’s unit tally 448 strikeouts, as he has overseen two of K-State’s top four strikeout seasons in program history.

K-State advanced to the semifinal round of the 2021 Phillips 66 Big 12 Baseball Championship, its longest tournament run since the 2008 season. The Cats finished with a 34-23 record, their highest win total since the 2013 Big 12 championship season.

The 2020 was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic after just 17 games, with K-State winning seven of its last nine games, including taking three of four during a road series at perennial power Stanford. Over those 17 games, the Wildcat pitching staff ranked sixth in the nation in ERA (2.07), fifth in WHIP (1.01) and fourth in hits per nine innings (5.6). The Cats were one of just two teams in the country to allow only one home run during the season.

In Taylor’s first season in Manhattan, the K-State pitching staff threw the third-most strikeouts in a single season in program history with 448 while the strikeouts-per-nine-innings rate of 7.9 was tied for fourth best in program history. Additionally, Wildcat pitchers limited opponents to a .268 batting average – fourth best in a single season.

K-State finished with a 25-33 record (8-16 Big 12) in 2019 and earned its first bid to the Big 12 Baseball Championship since the 2016 season. In total, the Wildcats picked up seven victories over ranked opponents in 2019, the team’s highest total since the 2011 season and more than the previous three seasons combined (4).

Taylor spent 14 seasons as the head coach at Palomar Community College after originally joining the Palomar staff as the pitching and catching coach in 2001. Taylor compiled a 434-181 (.706) record while at the helm of the Comets, sending 21 pitchers into professional baseball, including current and former Major League pitchers Marcus Hatley (St. Louis), Tim Hill (Kansas City, San Diego), James Hoyt (Houston, Cleveland, Miami) and Nick Vincent (San Diego, Seattle, San Francisco, Philadelphia, Miami).

Palomar became the first Pacific Coast Athletic Conference team in history to land four players on Major League 25-man opening-day rosters in the same season. In addition to pitchers Hill, Hoyt and Vincent, infielder Tyler Saladino began the season with the Chicago White Sox and has since been traded to Milwaukee Brewers.

Taylor was honored as American Baseball Coaches Association/California Community College Athletic Association State Baseball Coach of the Year in 2008 and was named Pacific Coast Athletic Conference Baseball Coach of the Year eight times while he was selected as PCAC Coach of the Year across all men’s sports for both the 2008-09 and 2014-15 academic years. He won eight PCAC titles in his 14 seasons as head coach of Palomar.

His 2018 club won the outright conference title and went on to make an appearance in the Southern California Super Regionals. Perfect Game ranked his 2015 squad No. 2 among the nation’s community colleges at the end of the regular season and went on to finished with a national ranking of No. 9 following the postseason with a record of 36-8.

Taylor played two years at San Francisco State following junior-college stints at Rancho Santiago College (now Santa Ana Community College) and MiraCosta College. Following his collegiate career, he went on to play and manage professionally in Vienna, Austria, for the Vienna Lions, guiding them to a Vienna Baseball League title in 1996.

Prior to his time at Palomar, Taylor was an assistant coach and later co-head coach at his alma mater San Francisco State from 1995-2000.

Taylor graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology in 1995 and later earned his Master of Education in physical education and sports administration from Azusa Pacific in 2001. He also served as Associate Professor in the Department of Kinesiology, Health and Recreation on Palomar’s full-time faculty.

A native of Carlsbad, California, Taylor and his wife, Natasha, have two daughters, Finley and Avery.

Bahun was highly successful as an athlete, claiming a Third Team NJCAA All-American nod and was named the Mid-West Regional Player of the Year at Iowa Western in 1995. He then went to Iowa State and earned Second Team All-Big 8 honors while being the Cyclones offensive player of the year as a junior in 1996.

Inducted into the Omaha Public Schools Hall of Fame in the fall of 2019, Bahun was a three-sport athlete at Bryan high school. With the Bears, Bahun was a Converse High School All-American, a National High School Baseball Coaches Association All-District selection and collected All-Nebraska honors. On the diamond he led the state in batting average. Also competing in wrestling and football, Bahun earned a combined 11 letters. A metro wrestling and district champion who broke the Nebraska state record for takedowns, Bahun turned down a wrestling offer from Clemson to pursue his baseball aspirations.

Bahun earned a bachelor’s in exercise science degree from Bellevue University in 1997 and then earned his master’s in business in 1999.
