Albert Portas
Head Coach | P4SA Co-Owner

Albert Portas brings a
wealth of international experience as both a player and coach, grounded in one
of the most respected youth soccer systems in the world. Originally from
Barcelona, Spain, Albert began playing soccer at the age of six and spent seven
years developing at FC Barcelona’s youth academy. There, he trained alongside
players such as Ansu Fati, Sergio Gómez, and Takefusa Kubo—an experience that
shaped his understanding of elite-level training and player development.
Albert later moved to the U.S. to play NCAA Division 1 soccer at Cleveland State University, where he also earned a degree in General Management. Following his playing career, he completed a Master’s in Digital Marketing at the University of New Haven, further strengthening his leadership and communication skills off the field.
Currently, Albert serves as Head Coach at InterConnecticut FC, one of the premier youth soccer clubs in the state, and co-owns P4SA. In his role with P4SA, he oversees camps and international programs, bringing a high-performance mindset and methodology to young players across the U.S. and abroad.
Albert’s coaching philosophy centers on holistic player development—technical, tactical, and personal. He is deeply committed to creating a positive, challenging environment where players are encouraged to grow not only as athletes but also as individuals. His goal is to provide every child with access to world-class soccer education, regardless of background, and to help them reach their full potential both on and off the field.
