THE VOGELSINGER METHOD
Our goal is to create an environment—a GAME-LIKE ATMOSPHERE—through dynamic teaching and coaching by explanation, demonstration and participation to assist each player in creating a METHOD TO SELF-TEACH.
It is a painstaking STEP-BY-STEP method. We must create for you a crystal-clear picture of what we are trying to teach through demonstration and explanation. You must understand clearly and be able to picture every little detail in your MIND’S EYE. Moreover, you then have to see yourself performing it successfully, and physically feel it and emotionally experience it.
The ultimate goal of self-teaching is INTERNALIZING MOTIVATION and knowing where you are, where you want to be, and how to get there step-by-step. We say you “FAIL YOUR WAY TO SUCCESS” because with this method, mistakes become your guidelines.
You will become a BETTER PLAYER. You will become a BETTER PERSON, as you will learn how to work toward the goals that you set for yourself.
How is the Vogelsinger Soccer program different?
- It’s not a training camp, it’s a technical teaching camp
- Students change bad habits and create new habits
- Coaches give a step-by-step dissection of the mechanics of soccer – students are taught to have a full body experience - to feel, see, and do things the correct way so that they can continue to self-teach when camp is over
- Students are pushed out of their comfort zone to try/experience techniques/skills they never have before
- Practice in game like atmosphere to experience that same passion, pressure, and desire that is needed to improve and compete with the best
- Unique and unmatched coaching method leaves students with a renewed motivation and passion for the game
UNDERSTANDING THE PROGRAMS
1. INDIVIDUAL SKILLS AND TECHNIQUES
This is a program you cannot afford to miss. Coach Vogelsinger has distinguished himself as THE soccer educator. His passionate unwavering philosophy over the years is that a good technical foundation is the best tactical preparation. We offer a modern teaching method, uniquely innovative and highly motivational. It is the main reason for the program’s incomparable success.
—TECHNICAL SKILLS: The sessions are dynamic, taught in realistic technical skill sequences in ball control, passing, dribbling and striking with their correct tactical applications. Young professionals provide realistic game-like demonstrations. With uncanny perception and ability, Hubert Vogelsinger has broken down the most sophisticated technical skills with clear step-by-step explanations. With on-going dialogue, the staff keeps you focused with reminders such as “happy feet,” “magic hop,” and “get out of your comfort zone.”
---EVENING GAMES: In our evening games you can test what you have learned that day. Games, mainly 4v4 or 5v5, as well as 11v11, with two goals and goalkeepers, give you the opportunity to maximize touches on the ball and your chances to finish on a real goal.
Beginners to Advanced. Coed.
Ages 9 and up. Players are grouped first by age and then by ability.
The way the game is played is a direct reflection of a nation’s character. You are coached by someone from Brazil, Uruguay, Morocco, Wales, Denmark, Mexico, Italy, or Spain. You will get their views on how to play, and their passion for the game is quite evident.
FIELD PLAYERS AND GOALKEEPERS:
FIELD PLAYERS: Individual Skills and Techniques
We offer more focused training so that individuals of the same skill level can learn and grow together. There are programs for the beginner, intermediate, and advanced skill level players. Professional coaches from all over the world help hone and perfect players’ tactical awareness and understanding of this important position.
We encourage all campers to attend our early morning Soccerobics session which is part of our conditioning and fitness program to prepare you for the day ahead. (6:45 a.m. daily) Created by Master Coach Hubert Vogelsinger, Soccerobics is a system of carefully designed exercises with the ball, incorporating soccer skills with aerobic and physical conditioning. With Soccerobics, you will develop your natural rhythm through muscle memory and visualization while learning the essentials of proper foot work as well.

I'm now a much better shooter!
I had a great experience and more fully understand all the practice and effort that a good player needs to have.
My daughter left camp with new skills!
The coaches emphasized the importance of a good first touch, and controlling the ball at your feet. Dribbling and crossing, and working the ball with both sides of your body were skills that were stressed. There was always room for growth and improvement, no matter what the campers' skill level. My child loved the coaches' backgrounds in soccer. She was impressed by their knowledge of soccer, love for the game, and coaching ability. Respect for the coaches and other players was emphasized right from the beginning, so she felt comfortable being there. She left with skills and ball handling ability that she did not have before spending the week with the coaches, and was excited to bring the skills back to her team and on the field. Thank you for mixing the genders. That's so important for both! Excellent camp. We will return, and recommend it to our other Bavarian Team Members. My daughter was a day camp attendee. She wasn't able to attend one day due to flooding of the roads because of a rain storm. Graciously, and unexpectedly, she was invited to stay for an extended day the next day, to make up for the time she had missed. Thank you.
— Megan I, Parent 2017
I had lots of fun and learned a lot at camp!
The councilors were great! They taught using unique techniques that were new to me. I feel they are really knowledgeable about the game.

Something for everyone
This camp provides something for everyone. My 9 year old son is a rock and roll player who goes at it from every direction. He is a serious club player and has been to more than 30 camps up until this overnight one. He is not unlike your typical boy with tons of energy and confident behavior. He is however, inexperienced and being extremely tired and taking care of himself all while playing hard nosed soccer. This is the challenge he needed. To be able to last through missing his family, new teaching techniques and other players who frankly are there to improve. We live only a couple of hours away and decided to make this an overnight experience. Hardest decision we have made to date. After all you are leaving your little one to folks you do not know. People just do not do that. However, I had to trust. We did buy him his first cell phone so he could call or text home. Just doing that took practice at home. Including setting his own alarm clock. We knew he worked hard at home, but we did do a lot of things for him that enabled him to do less for himself. Which is one of the reasons why we wanted him to go. He did not lose his phone which was amazing enough. He was just too busy to call us. A late night text "I am fine" is basically all we got. He lost his key, and ended up finding that himself with the cooperation of his fellow campers. We know he was coached well and we know that he picked his work rate. He was exhausted when we picked him up. They worked hard!!! With any camp most parents are pretty happy with their child surviving. This is also a highly technical camp and as you get older you will experience great benefits if like anything else you provide the work and proper attitude. I highly recommend this camp as it suits most every players needs. Please look me up on Facebook if you have further questions. We will return to this camp. I felt like it was awesome.

My game has improved every year
I have attended Vogelsinger for four years. My game has improved greatly every year because of the in-depth focus on shooting, dribbling and passing techniques. Each coach has a different style, yet the concepts they teach are interconnected. I would highly recommend this camp to anyone looking to take their game to the next level.
— Mark H., Nike Vogelsinger Soccer All Star School at Carthage College Camper
Tough but fun!
Vogelsinger was a tough camp. They don't mess around and it is literally soccer 24/7. My skill level increased as did my love for soccer. I hope to return to camp next year for some more fun.
— Emily Emily R., Nike Vogelsinger Soccer All Star School at Carthage College Camper
I've been to other soccer camps, and feel that this one is the best so far. There was more individual instruction and more help with skills. I would recommend this camp to anyone.
— Katie Katie S., Nike Vogelsinger Soccer All Star School at Carthage College Camper
Corrected bad habits
Taught lots of different elements, corrected what was done wrong so we wouldn't continue doing it wrong. Lots of touches, games, etc. Great program.

They do everything well. They made me feel comfortable, made it a good enviroment to want to learn, and they push us in a positive way for us to want to learn more.
— Casey D., Nike Vogelsinger Soccer All Star School at Carthage College Camper
My children love Vogelsinger. They come back more confident, more technically-sound players. They also love the chance to spend time with kids who love soccer as much as they do.

Better Than the Rest
My son did a week last year, wanted to do two weeks this year, and is looking forward to next year... He had very positive experiences both times, definitely better than anything else he has tried. There were a variety of coaches with great experience and the camp had an intense, balanced schedule.
— Carl M., Parent of Nike Vogelsinger Soccer All Star School at Carthage College Camper
Coaching staff was outstanding
Vogelsinger Camp was a very good technical soccer camp. It really helped me with my technical abilities to further my soccer career. The coaching staff was outstanding! I enjoyed having international coaches and their different playing styles

Try to reassure parents better
This was my 9 year olds first experience with spending the night anywhere. He had a great time, but I was very nervous as his parent. There is a ton of questions that are not logistically easy to answer. Most of it is based on trust. I am a person who does not trust easily. Once you get past that then everything is great. I am not sure how you can reassure parents better. That is the only way I can see making the experience better. Babying the parents. LOL
— Stacy G., Parent of Nike Vogelsinger Soccer All Star School at Carthage College Camper '16
Didn't want to come home
I loved camp so much I didn't want to go home. It is one of the best weeks of my summer.
— Angelina C., Nike Vogelsinger Soccer All Star School at Carthage College Camper

— Jeffrey G., Nike Vogelsinger Soccer All Star School at Carthage College Camper
I went to voglesinger in 89 and sent my son this year. He felt the same experience I had back then. He came out with great conditioning and got to know a few International friends. Definitely enjoyed and will be back.
