Nike Soccer Camps is excited to offer an outstanding Soccer Camp at Carroll University. Our goal is to bring out the very best in every player we coach. In doing so, we focus our energies on building self-confidence and improving skills through innovative drills, small-sided games, and team driven competition. We encourage our campers to campers to play hard, be creative, ask questions and have fun. At the weeks end, our campers leave with a higher soccer IQ, an enhanced skill set, new friends and mentors and a true passion for the game. Our goal is to offer a fun and challenging soccer experience. Camp is open to all skill levels, with individual skill development the primary focus. Campers will get plenty of quality touches on the ball.

Head Men's Soccer Coach Derek Marie
Head Men's Soccer Coach Derek Marie returns for his fifth season at Carroll University. Marie has coached three CCIW All-Conference selections in Shea Connell (2018, 2019) and Josh Gonzaga (2021).View Derek's Bio ⟩
Marie returned to his alma mater, Carroll University, in 2013 as an assistant men’s soccer coach, before being named the head coach prior to the 2018 season. He was a standout performer for the Pioneers, earning all-Midwest Conference honors in each of his four seasons at Carroll, making him one of just three players in team history to achieve the feat – Joe Sikora and Andy Ksobiech are the others. Marie also garnered state and regional recognition during his career, with first-team all-Wisconsin and second-team All-Central Region accolades following his junior campaign. He played a vital role in Carroll’s first-ever Midwest Conference title in 2007 and the team’s first Midwest Conference Championship in 2008. The 2008 team also won the programs first-ever NCAA Tournament game.
Marie was a student-assistant coach for the Pioneers in 2009, then went on to serve as assistant coach for the UW-Stevens Point women’s soccer team the following year. The UW-SP squad advanced to the Sweet 16 round of the NCAA Tournament.
Marie was previously involved with the Croatian Eagles Soccer Club, where he was the head coach of the club’s U-18 Midwest Regional team for the spring 2014 season.
As a prep at Stevens Point Area High School, Marie earned first-team all-conference and was an all-State selection while finishing his senior campaign as his league’s leading scorer.
Marie graduated from Carroll with a degree in Business Marketing. He earned his master’s degree in Coaching and Athletic Administration from Concordia University in Irvine, California in 2015.
Head Women's Soccer Coach Taylor Clarke
Taylor Clarke was named the sixth Head Women's Soccer Coach in Carroll's history on Friday, February 24, 2023. The fall 2023 season will be Clarke's first season with the Pioneers.View Taylor's Bio ⟩
Clarke comes to Carroll after a two-season stint at Bowling Green State University as the Associate Head Women’s Soccer Coach, with his main duty serving as the recruiting coordinator. The Falcons of Bowling Green were MAC regular season and tournament champions in 2021, followed by a semi-finals appearance in the MAC tournament in 2022. Clarke coached eight All-Mac selections, including the MAC Offensive Player of the Year in 2021 and 2022.
Clarke had also served as the Head Women’s Soccer Coach at Ashland University from 2018-2021, after being the assistant coach of the program in 2014-2016. Clarke’s latest Division III experience came from Calvin University, serving as the top Assistant Coach on the men’s team. During his tenure at Calvin, Clarke coached three USC All-Americans, and had the #1 scoring offense in the country.
Clarke graduated with his undergraduate degree from Saginaw Valley State University in 2014, and obtained his masters at Ashland University in 2016. At SVSU, Clarke played four seasons and in 76 games for the Cardinals. Clarke scored four career goals and two assists as a defender. Clarke and the Cardinals were Division II National Runner-Ups in 2012.

This program is geared towards Player Development & High-Performance campers. Players will work on mastering the proper fundamentals, techniques and advancing their overall skills and knowledge of the game. A great opportunity for players to learn through a mix of drills, games, and competitive play. With a number of different camp options for all to enjoy!
Player Development is for campers ages 11 and under of all skill levels. These camps are designed to maximize player participation and ensure each camper develops in all aspects of the game in a fun and engaging environment. Coaches will implement a wide range of technical, physical, and tactical activities with a focus on fun so campers get to improve with a smile on their faces.
High Performance is for campers ages 12+ looking to improve their game in a fun and fast-paced environment. These camps are designed so players leave the camp week more prepared for their club and high school seasons. Experienced coaches will provide campers with a fresh perspective and challenge them to develop technical, tactical, physical, and psychological aspects of their game through a progressive curriculum.
*NOTE: If you believe your camper should be in a different skill level than the age requirement listed, please add a note at check-out and mention it to the camp director on day 1.

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE FEE?
Instruction: Training from the Carroll University coaching staff
Day campers: Lunch is not provided. Please bring a packed lunch.
Supervision: Staff members are strategically placed throughout the camp to provide optimal supervision and participate in all activities

INSTRUCTION, EQUIPMENT, & FACILITY
Ratio: Low camper to coach ratio
Groupings: Campers are grouped by age, ability, and experience
Equipment Needed: All campers must bring soccer cleats, shin guards, athletic shoes, and a water bottle. A further list of 'recommended items' will be in the Information Packet.
Facility: Schneider Stadium
Medical Protocol: Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital
CHECKLIST OF THINGS TO BRING:
Below is a suggested list of clothes, equipment, and personal items. US Sports Camps is NOT responsible for lost or stolen articles or money.

Nike Soccer Camp Balls can be purchased during registration. Players can choose between a size 4 or size 5 ball, which will be passed out on the first day of camp. Please note that it is not required to bring a soccer ball to camp as they are provided by the staff for camp instruction.
If you have a group of 4 or more campers registering for the same camp, each camper is eligible for a $25 discount. If you have a group of 8 or more campers registering for the same camp, each camper is eligible for a $30 discount. Please fill out the Team Discount - Soccer form with the name of your group and the names of each camper enrolling in the camp and we will create a unique discount code for your group.
Transportation is not provided. Campers are responsible for getting to and from camp on their own. There is no supervision before or after camp hours so please make arrangements to pick up your child on time.
Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

Schneider Stadium is the home of the Pioneer football, soccer and lacrosse teams. The stadium was renovated in 2004 with a gift from James '74 and Deborah Schneider. The stadium was further updated in 2014 with a new artificial turf surface and a state of the art video scoreboard. It has lights for night competition.
