No time for the off-season! Nike Softball Camps is thrilled to be coming to Bartow High School this winter and help campers make lasting friendships, countless memories, and play high level softball. Coach Byars and the coaching staff are excited to see you this winter as you continue to prepare and train for your upcoming softball seasons. Each day will be filled with position specific drills, hitting, game situations, and team play. Athletes of all abilities are encouraged to register for this camp!

Director Donna Byars
Coach Byars led Bartow to a Final Four appearance in 2015 and a state championship in 2016. She was named FACA Coach of the Year and The Ledger Coach of the Year. Since leaving the high school ranks, Coach Byars spent five seasons as the head coach at Polk State College. During her tenure at Polk State, Byars coached the Eagles to 51 wins. During the 2012 season, Polk State tripled its win total from the previous year with eight players earning All-Suncoast Conference honors.

Camp Details
Instruction will focus primarily on hitting, fielding, base-running, and game situations. You can expect high demand for these first come first serve camper spots, so please be sure to register early.

2023 CAMP INFORMATION
- Dates: December 27-29, 2023
- Age Group: 6-14
- Camp Type: Half Day Camp (Ages 6-8), Day Camp (Ages 8-14),
- Half Day Camp Schedule: Wednesday-Friday | 9:00am-12:00pm
- Day Camp Schedule: Wednesday-Friday | 9:00-4:00pm
- Check-In: Begins 30 minutes prior to the camp start time.
- Meals: Lunch is not provided. Please bring a snack/lunch to camp each day.
WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE FEE?
- Daily Softball Instruction
- Supervision: Campers are supervised by staff during camp hours
- Nike Camp T-Shirt, Gym Sack, Player Card, and Lanyard
INSTRUCTION & FACILITY
Ratio: 1:10 staff to camper ratio
Groupings: Campers are initially grouped by age and moved around accordingly based on skill level.
Facility: Outdoor Fields.

MEDICAL PROTOCOL
Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.
TRAVEL
Nike Softball Camps does not provide transportation from airports, train stations or bus depots. If you have a child flying to camp, please arrange a shuttle or taxi service.
TEAM/GROUP DISCOUNT
If you have a group of campers registering for the same camp, each camper is eligible for a discount. Please have someone contact the US Sports Camps office at 1-800-645-3226 with the names of each camper in the group and we will create a unique discount code for your group. Campers may then register individually through the website at their convenience and apply the offer code during checkout. *Discount amount varies by program. Please call for details.
