Nike Softball Camps is excited to announce a new week of camp at MASH Campus in Savage, Minnesota! All softball players that attend will learn valuable skills that they can transfer into their game to help them become better softball players. Instruction will cover all aspects of softball including fielding, hitting, baserunning, and team play.

Summer is the time to make new friends and play the game you love! This is a perfect opportunity for athletes of all abilities, as campers are sure to have fun and build on their skills!

Director Mady Bunnell

Entering her first year at UCCS, Coach Bunnell comes from Southwest Minnesota State University where she served as an assistant coach since 2021.

Prior to that, she was a graduate assistant coach at Wayne State College in Nebraska. A catcher for University of Wisconsin-River Falls, Bunnell has taken the lead with catcher development at UCCS in addition to assisting in all aspects of student-athlete development with the program. Coach Bunnell takes pride in her communication with student athletes and has used that passion to help with many softball camps and clinics throughout her coaching and playing career.
Coach Ali Nowak

Assistant Softball Coach Winona State University

Ali Nowak joined the Winona State University softball coaching staff in August, 2022. In June of 2023, Nowak was elevated to the full-time assistant coaching role with the program, taking over for long-time assistant coach Chad Tuescher. Prior to returning to Winona State, Nowak was a member of the St. Cloud State softball coaching staff for the 2021-22 academic year.

Nowak built a standout playing career at Winona State between 2017 and 2021, earning NFCA and D2CCA All-American honors on two occasions. Playing both behind the plate and as the designated player, Nowak was one of the most impactful players on some of the best teams to during her five-year Warrior career.

Nowak earned All-America, All-Region and All-Conference nods multiple times from 2017 to 2021, and ranks top-10 all-time in several statistical categories. Upon graduation in 2021, Nowak is second all-time in the Warrior record book in both career batting average (.417) and career fielding percentage (.995). The New Berlin, Wis. product is also third all-time in career walks (90), fifth career RBIs (175) and doubles (56) and seventh in career hits (251).

Nowak's resume includes CoSIDA Academic All-District and All-America honors (2019, 2020) and she was the NSIC Winona State Female Scholar Athlete of the Year award in both 2020 and 2021. She was voted Winona State's Female Student-Athlete of the Year in 2019.
Coach Dane Craig

Craig joined the Grizzlies after a season as an assistant coach at RMAC-foe Chadron State University and is a veteran softball coach of 22 years, including 17 at the high school level. He is the sixth head coach in Grizzly history.

Craig coached at Fairview High School in Boulder, Mountain Range High School in Westminster, and Douglas County High School in Castle Rock. At Mountain Range, his Mustangs won the 5A state title in 2015.

Before coaching high school, Craig was head coach of the Colorado Styxx softball club and head recruiter for the Colorado Stars club. He has helped hundreds of student-athletes find college rosters, all around the country.

Craig has two daughters. Tori Craig played collegiate softball at Colorado State, while Riley Craig played at Stony Brook.
Coach Jasmin Estrada

Graduate Assistant Coach Northern State University

Instruction will focus primarily on hitting, specific position fielding, base-running, and game situations. In addition, pitchers will have the opportunity to work with pitching instructors. You can expect high demand on these first-come-first-serve camper spots, so please be sure to register early.

General Skills Schedule: Monday-Thursday | 9:00am-3:00pm
Check-In: Begins 30 minutes prior to the camp start time.
Meals: Lunch is not provided. Please bring a snack/lunch to camp each day.

Daily Softball Instruction
Supervision: Campers are supervised by staff during camp hours
Nike Camp T-Shirt, Gym Sack, Player Card, and Lanyard

INSTRUCTION & FACILITY

Ratio: 1:10 staff to camper ratio
Groupings: Campers are initially grouped by age and moved around accordingly based on skill level.
Facility: Indoor facilities. Camp will utilize indoor field house and batting cages - no metal cleats allowed.

MEDICAL PROTOCOL

Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

TRAVEL

Nike Softball Camps does not provide transportation from airports, train stations or bus depots. If you have a child flying to camp, please arrange a shuttle or taxi service.

TEAM/GROUP DISCOUNT

If you have a group of campers registering for the same camp, each camper is eligible for a discount. Please have someone contact the US Sports Camps office at 1-800-645-3226 with the names of each camper in the group and we will create a unique discount code for your group. Campers may then register individually through the website at their convenience and apply the offer code during checkout. *Discount amount varies by program. Please call for details.
