Tennis Tip: Proper Spacing on the Forehand Groundstroke
In this week's "Coaches Corner," Charleston Nike Tennis Camp Director Phil Whitesell discusses the importance of proper spacing on the forehand groundstroke.
For more great tips and instruction from Coach Whitesell, check out his Nike Tennis Camp in Charleston, SC. This year, the camp is offering two weeks of overnight and day camp (9:00am-4:00pm) for ages 10-18 of all skill levels, in addition to tournament training and high school components. Each day will include morning and afternoon tennis sessions consisting of instruction, drills and match play. Demonstrations will divide each session into different segments. Swimming is available in the afternoon for all campers.
Nike Tennis Camps offer junior and adult overnight and day camps at 73 locations nationwide. The camps provide first-rate instruction, match play, diversified social activities, exposure to life in a university setting – and the chance to build lasting friendships. NTC's goal is to give players the opportunity to hit thousands of balls, improve their technique, and be challenged by some of the best players in their peer group.
