Dave Jones

Asst. Women's Tennis Coach, Dartmouth College

Dave Jones completed his 10th year with the women's tennis team in 2019-20 during a season shortened by COVID-19.

In 2017 Dave was named the USPTA/New England Tennis Pro of the Year.

He previously was the assistant coach to former Dartmouth men's tennis coach Chuck Kinyon for 23 years, and helped guide the men's team to two Ivy League titles.

At the end of the 2015-16 season, he was named the ITA Northeast Region Assistant Coach of the Year.

Jones was voted the 2010 ITA Northeast Region Assistant Men's Coach of the Year, an award he also received in 1998. He is recognized throughout the country for his excellence in stroke and match analysis.

A USPTA teaching professional, Jones is also the head tennis pro/manager of the Alexis Boss Tennis Center & Alan Gordon Pavilion at Dartmouth.

Additionally, he served as head coach of the USTA New England boys' 18-and-under junior Davis Cup team for 12 years.

A native of Exeter, N.H., Jones resides in Hanover.
