Tension Free Swing
There are many elements to quality shot making in golf and one simple, important aspect is keeping your body loose and athletic while over the ball. Problems arise when we spend too much time focusing and staring at the ball and not enough time connecting with the target location.
The more time you are giving the golf ball, the more likely your body will get tense and lock up, which takes away from the natural flow you need to create a proper and efficient golf swing. Instead, practice the opposite. While you focus on the target, stay relaxed and keep you body in motion. Remember to keep your club head moving as well as your arms, hands and even your feet. When you are done looking at the target, take a quick look at the ball, set up, and lock in for your swing.
The key is to stay relaxed and loose to keep the flow of your swing, which can be accomplished by spending less time on the golf ball and more time on the target. Practice this pre shot routine to elevate your golf game and develop a more tension free swing.
