Our Nike Rugby Clinic in Sacramento is hosted at William Land Park, just minutes from downtown. This special two-day program is hosted the same weekend as the international test match between the USA Eagles and Canada. Current and former USA Rugby players and coaches will be on hand to provide instruction and to offer insight into what it takes to compete at the highest level.
Campers will train on the Land Park fields under the direction of Ethan Willis, Colin Hawley, and current Team USA players and coaches. Enjoy guest appearances by USA players including Captain Todd Clever, Mike Petri, Tai Tuisamoa, and Hayden Smith. The program includes all rugby instruction, touch-rugby, and match play. Each day runs from 9:00am - 4:00pm.

Founder of ELITE Rugby Camps, Ethan Willis has mentored and coached over 5,000 young aspiring rugby players. Willis has played a major role in the current explosion of Rugby onto the USA sporting scene. Ethan’s players have gained numerous accolades in the sport of rugby, but more importantly have left camp with an understanding of how to become successful on and off the rugby field. Willis believes in emphasizing the correct fundamentals of each facet of rugby.
Hawley is a current USA XV’s and 7’s star player. He played for the USA Eagles National Team in the 2011 Rugby World Cup, at Wing. Hawley began his illustrious national rugby career while he was still in college. Hawley played Center/Fullback for the University of California Golden Bears. While at Cal, Hawley was named to the Collegiate All-Americans (2007–2010) as well as the team MVP (2007). Hawley culminated his collegiate career when he led his team to an NCAA Rugby National Championship in 2010. During this tournament he was selected to the prestigious All-Tournament Team.

Nike Rugby Camps offers players the individualized coaching needed to improve their skill-set and gain a deeper understanding of the game. Our curriculum is the perfect blend of expert coaching, constructive drills, and match play. With our outstanding coaching staff, led by Ethan Willis, players can leave camp with a greater confidence and passion for the game.
Be a spectator at the International Test Match Between the USA Men's Eagles and Canada!
The Nike Rugby Camp will take place on June 19th and 20th. The Saturday afternoon following camp, players will have an inspirational opportunity to watch world-class rugby as the USA Eagles take on the Canadian national team. The game starts at 3:00pm on Saturday, June 21st at Cal Expo.
The two-day camp in Sacramento runs from 9:00am - 4:00pm daily. Day campers will be dropped off and picked up at the end of each day at the Land Park Soccer Fields.
Check-In and Check-Out
Check-in will take place between 8:30am and 9:00am on the first day of camp. Check-out will take place at 4:00pm on the last day of camp.

Lunch is not included and campers are advised to bring their own lunch and snacks.
Campers are supervised all day with a strict 8:1 camper to coach ratio. Drugs, alcohol and tobacco are strictly prohibited, and constitute, along with general misconduct, grounds for dismissal from camp without a refund.
Nike Rugby Camps do not provide transportation to and from airports, bus depots or train stations.
A detailed camper registration packet containing check in location, health/release forms, emergency contact info, and a list of things to bring will be emailed to all registered campers in the spring.
Sample Daily Schedule
- 8:30 - 9:00am Check-in
- 9:00am Training session: catch and pass technique, defensive structure, tackle technique
- 11:00am Touch rugby/scrimmage
- Noon Campers eat their own packed lunch while listening to motivational speeches from Team USA players
- 1:00pm Training session: position specific training; forwards and backs
- 4:00pm Check-out
