NIKE Softball Camp at Curry College Milton, Massachusetts
Nike Softball Camps totally immerse you in the sport, giving you the kind of focused, intensive training essential for improvement - no matter what your ability level. Every facet of the game is covered - hitting, fielding, base running, team play and more. Our goals is that your performance as an overall player will improve, along with your self-confidence but it is up to each player to take what they have learned and apply it to gametime situations.
The camp is directed by Mehdi and Maria Belhassan. Mehdi has owned the camps since 1995, and prior to this was assistant director to the camp, starting in 1989. As a former tennis professional, and a father himself, he knows the values and dedication it takes to give “the best sports instruction.” Mehdi resides on campus throughout all camp sessions, and quickly gains the respect of all the campers. Maria directs all office and customer service operations of the camp. Maria is the background force, organizing summer events, registration packets, and the many other aspects to putting together a great summer production! Maria is available via email, and during the year the 1-800 number rings to her cell phone. Our policy is that every parent should be 100% comfortable by the time they drop off their child to our camp.

Founded in 1879, Curry College is a private, four-year, liberal arts-based institution located on a wooded 135-acre campus in Milton, MA just seven miles from downtown Boston.
Curry’s athletic facilities are impressive. Improvements to the D. Forbes Will Athletic Complex include the newly constructed Walter M. Katz Field - a state-of-the-art "Field-Turf" field that will be used by the football team, men’s and women’s soccer, lacrosse programs, and baseball and softball team practice and intramurals.
Christine Grenache
Directing the NIKE Camp at Curry College is Christine Grenache. Grenache comes to Rindge after four seasons as Head Coach at Newbury College.
During her time with the Nighthawks, she revamped the program with an emphasis on recruiting and player development and helped usher Newbury into the New England Collegiate Conference, which it joined in 2009. In 2007, her first season at Newbury, Grenache took a team that went winless in 2006 and guided it to an 11-10 record, earning Division III Independent Co-Coach of the Year accolades along the way. In her final season with the program, 2010, the Nighthawks earned their first postseason berth as a member of the NECC and collected the conference's Sportsmanship Award at the end of the campaign.
As an undergrad, Grenache was a four-year starter at fellow Northeast-10 Conference member Stonehill College, where she served as a captain for her junior and senior seasons. She was also selected to represent United States Softball at the international level at the 2006 Friendship Series in Sydney, Australia and at the 2007 Goodwill Games in Lima, Peru.
Originally from Leominster, Mass., Grenache graduated from Stonehill in 2006 with a bachelor's degree in psychology.
US Sports Camps combines with Nike and USA/ASA Softball to offer the Nike Softball Camps sponsored by USA Softball.
USA Softball is the brand created, operated and owned by the ASA that links the USA Men's, Women's, Junior Boys' and Junior Girls' National Team programs together. USA Softball is responsible for training, equipping and promoting these four National Teams to compete in international and domestic competitions.
Whichever program you do decide on, each Nike Softball Camp staff member is ready to work with you and provide the best possible softball experience while you train and strive to be a better softball player.
Classes are programmed for three different proficiency levels: beginners, intermediates and advanced players — of all ages. Each student will be tested evaluated and placed in a group of similar ability, and age. Beginners will be playing softball in just a few days; intermediates will improve all aspects of their game; and advanced players will sharpen their game to a competitive edge. Our intensified program for aspiring Tournament Players are ideal for competitive players who presently play or wish to try out for their high school or other outside leagues.
Over three quarters of our enrollment is comprised of sleepover students. The Sleepover program includes 25-30 hours of softball instruction, all meals, housing, and some nightly activities.
SUPERIOR SUPERVISION!
This camp hires 2 separate staff for double the supervision! Coaches are not required to watch campers during non-sport hours and are therefore able to rest and give 100% effort everyday. Their counselor staff have been hired to watch campers during all non-sport hours and field trips!
MORE THAN JUST SOFTBALL!
Off field activities include, but are not limited to:
Baseball Games, Soccer Games, Lazer Tag, Movies, Cool Restaurants (Hard Rock Café, Charlie Horse), 6 Flags, Water Country, Whale Watch and much more!
OTHER SPORTS CAMPS:
At the same location, there is a NIKE Tennis Camp, NIKE Golf Camp, NIKE Soccer Camp, and NIKE Lacrosse Camp. All 5 sports camps are directed by the owners: Mehdi and Maria Belhassan. Many campers who play more than one sport are able to play 1 week of Softball and another week of another sport (without ever having to move locations… they can even stay in the same dorm room!)
When mixing sports, campers must participate in at least 1 full week of each sport. Sports can not be mixed during the week. This is because each sports camp is an Intensified Training Program and should not be interrupted mid week.
OWNERS/DIRECTORS:
The camp is directed by Mehdi and Maria Belhassan. Mehdi has owned the camps since 1995, and prior to this was assistant director to the camp, starting in 1989. As a former tennis professional, and a father himself, he knows the values and dedication it takes to give “the best sports instruction.” Mehdi resides on campus throughout all camp sessions, and quickly gains the respect of all the campers. "The NIKE camp at Curry College was AMAZING! The camp far exceeded our expectations and I will recommend several of the conditioning drills to my Varsity coach so my High School team can benefit from them as well. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING EXPERIENCE!"
Thanks for another great camp experience
"The director and her staff were very positive and seemed to make all the girls love to play. This is our second time doing the camp and I would do it again. Thanks for another great experience and great memories."

Overnight Camper
I hope to go back every year!
"The camp was very well-planned out and had a good program. The times to wakeup eat and play were reasonable and the instructors knew exactly what they were doing and taught the campers in an easy-to-understand way. I hope to go back every year!"
