Coach
Chris Campbell
Chris Campbell is entering his first year at the helm of the Boston College Eagles volleyball program. Campbell comes to the Heights from a successful run as the Associate Head Coach at Auburn where he served as the recruiting coordinator and position coach for the middle blockers he also added defensive coordinator to his areas of responsibility.
In his first full recruiting class, Campbell pulled in the nation's No. 26 recruiting class, according to PrepVolleyball.com. The class included the No. 34 and No. 93-ranked seniors in the nation as well as Sarah Bullock, who was named to the 2009 Southeastern Conference All-Freshman team at the conclusion of the 2009 season..
As defensive coordinator Campbell was responsible for designing and implementing the Tigers defensive system and the defensive game plans for success in the ever-tough SEC. The results speak for themselves. In just one season Auburn rose from ninth to fifth in the SEC in opponent hitting percentage, and from 11th to seventh in blocks. The improvement was also noted on a national level as Auburn obtained its first regional ranking in over a decade and was ranked as high as No. 60 in the national RPI (Ratings Percentage Index).
A native of Harvey Station, New Brunswick, Canada, Campbell brings 10 seasons of coaching experience to the staff, eight as a head coach and two as an assistant coach. Most recently, Campbell was at Northern Arizona University from 2004-2007.
While at NAU, Campbell had 20 student-athletes earn 36 NAU Golden Eagle Scholar-Athlete awards and 11 student-athletes earn 20 academic All-Big Sky Conference honors. Campbell spent the 2003 season as an assistant at Northern Arizona before taking over the head coach position. Before his arrival in Flagstaff, Ariz., Campbell spent one season as the head coach at Division II Mississippi University for Women and three seasons at the University of Louisiana-Lafayette.
As a player, Campbell competed in the Canadian Division I level for McGill University and the University of British Columbia (UBC) where he was a team captain and starter at both schools. During his final season at UBC the team was ranked as high as 7th in the nation.

Extra Activities:
This is one of the only camps that offer nightly OFF-Campus Activities. Our activities are pre-organized and include events such as: MLS Soccer Games, Laser Tag, Bowling, Hard Rock Café, Charlie Horse, Funway Café, 6 Flags (weekend), Water Country (weekend), Whale Watch (weekend), and much much more!
Activities are not mandatory, and campers either choose to attend a few activities during the week, all activities, or no activities. Either way, for those campers who stay back: There will be plenty to do such as our ping pong room, watching movies, board games, card games, volleyball, and more. Counselors stay back to keep the appropriate ratios on the trip and back at the dorms!
Extra Supervision:
We offer double the supervision! This is because they hire 2 separate staff: coaching staff and counselor staff. This ensures that coaches are not overworked and can adequately teach and coach volleyball every day. It also ensures that your children being well supervised during all non-sport hours. Also the owners/directors reside in the dorms with campers!
Other Sports:
At the same location, there is a NIKE Tennis Camp, NIKE Golf Camp, NIKE Softball Camp, NIKE Soccer Camp and NIKE Lacrosse Camp. All 6 sports camps are directed by the owners: Mehdi and Maria Belhassan. Many campers who play more than one sport are able to play 1 week of Volleyball and additional weeks in any other sport (without ever having to move locations… they can even stay in the same dorm room!)
When mixing sports, campers must participate in at least 1 full week of each sport. Sports can not be mixed during the week. This is because each sports camp is an Intensified Training Program and should not be interrupted mid week
Happy parent
I think it was a great camp. She learned a lot. My daughter was having such a good time, she called and asked if I would pay for another week. The staff was very helpful with this, so we let her stay. I felt very comfortable at check in that they had everything under control and covered. She met some great people that I believe she will be keeping in touch with for years to come.
Exceptional
This camp was really exceptional. The coaches were really good at teaching, the councelers in the buildings were extreamly nice and would always help you out with a problem. You become very comfortable at camp and it is interesting to meet people from all over the world. It is a great experience to have and i am very happy that I did this camp. I improved with my volleyball skills and my people skills. Meeting all these new people makes camp that more interesting.
Step up your game
The Nike Volleyball camp at Curry pushed me to improve. I was tired, sweaty, and sometimes a little frustrated but the effort was worth the gain in the end. I feel like I improved a ton and am excited to return next summer. Nike camps help you step up your game, and give you a fun experience at the same time.
Improve and make great friends
Nike sports camp is a great place to learn more about your sport but to also make great friends and have a great time at camp. Its not just sports because the evenings are saved for going out and bonding with other people from your sport and from other sports. The coaches are amazing and nice but also really help you with your skill. I highly recommend the camp to anyone thinking about going.
Great Experience
"This camp was a tremendous experience for my daughter. It taught her what she needed to know to be confident at school try-outs and in put-of-school club play. She learned a lot and was able to put what she learned into play right away. Overall it was a great experience for her!!"
As good as you can get
"We loved the atmosphere and kids from all over. The kids managed to share stories about their lives, countries etc and really came home enriched. It was as good as you can get. The instrucors were aware, professional and caring. We loved it and will continue to go back."
Amazing Learning Experience
"The Nike Volleyball Camp at Curry College was very well run. Check-in was easy, dorms were nice and the staff was friendly. My daughter learned a lot from the coaches and she was challenged as a player. She still keeps in touch with other players from the camp. Great experience."
