At the Nike Running Camps we strive to help develop runners into faster and smarter athletes. We are proud to announce the addition of the University of San Diego camp to our growing network.
Join us for an informative, challenging and fun week at the University of San Diego with Head Coach Will Guarino. Campers will be placed into to pacing groups based on their age and current times. They will be shuttled off campus to various running trails in beautilful, sunny San Diego.

Perched above Mission Bay and the Pacific Ocean, The University of San Diego is one of the most beautiful campuses in the country, and an fantastic location for camp. Campers stayin the dorms on campus getting a taste for college life in this friendly and welcoming college campus. The USD campus is located right off of I-5, just 6 miles north of the San Diego Airport and Downtown San Diego.Meet your coaching staff
Will Guarino was USD's first full-time cross country/track coach after replacing longtime coach Rich Cota, who retired after directing the program for 18 seasons.
Guarino, a 1988 graduate of the University of San Diego, ran for the Torero cross country program during the 1987 season. He placed second at the West Coast Conference Championships in the 10K race at Crystal Springs, with the Toreros placing third overall. That year he was selected the team's Outstanding Runner. He still ranks second all-time at USD for fastest time in a 10K race - he clocked a 32:25 at Woodward Park in Fresno, Calif. He is eighth all-time in the 8K with a 26:14 showing at the Biola Invitational.
During the 1988-89 season he was assistant cross country coach at Mar Vista High School in Imperial Beach where he worked with both the men's and women's programs. He graduated from USD with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish and a minor in Business Administration. A resident of San Diego, he currently runs his own financial planning business.
2014 Camp Information
Overnight Campers: Features several instructional sessions per day, swimming, three hot meals , and lodging in University residence halls. An evening recreation program is also included.
Extended Day Campers (8:00am-8:00pm): Local campers have the option to commute to camp. This option offers the same features as the resident camp minus lodging. The commuter dropoff pick-up times as well as locations will be indicated in the camp itinerary.
