    Co-Director Rich Schreiner

    Associate Women's Head Soccer Coach10 Seasons - DePauw ‘03 Rich Schreiner begins his 19th season with the Seattle University women's soccer team in the fall of 2025. From 2008-11, he served as an assistant coach, and in July 2012, he was promoted to Associate Head Coach.

    Assistant Coach - Seattle University Jason Farrell

    Farrell, a Seattle native, joined the coaching staff prior to the start of the 2023 season after previously being the head coach of Ballard FC of USL League 2. He led Ballard to an 8-2-2 regular season in their inaugural season, before guiding the team to a playoff run that saw them reach the Western Conference Finals. The team clinched their second straight playoff berth before Farrell stepped down in 2023.

RESIDENTIAL CAMP - COLLEGIATE EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience elite-level training at the Nike Girls Soccer Camp at Seattle University—an overnight collegiate experience, designed specifically for competitive and experienced players. Train on a top NCAA Division I campus, sharpen your technical and tactical skills, and gain insight into the demands and life of the college game.

This year the Seattle U. coaches will be offering satellite camps around Seattle!

CAMP DETAILS

This program is geared toward Player Development & High-Performance campers. Players will work on mastering the proper fundamentals, techniques and advancing their overall skills and knowledge of the game. A great opportunity for players to learn through a mix of drills, games, and competitive play. With a number of different camp options for all to enjoy!

SKILL LEVELS

All Skills camps cater to players aged 5-12, welcoming both beginners and experienced players. Our coaching team comprises passionate individuals from esteemed local universities like Seattle U, bringing expertise and a love for the sport. These camps focus on honing skills through engaging technical drills and enjoyable games, fostering both learning and fun.

Elite Performance Camps cater to 8-14-year-olds actively involved in year-round competitive soccer, aiming to enhance their gameplay. Mornings focus on technical and tactical training, guided by certified coaches from Seattle U and other nationally recognized professionals. Afternoons feature collegiate players organizing competitive, fast-paced games. These sessions mirror the intensity of college-level training, cultivating high-level skills in an immersive environment.

HOUSING

The information below is based on previous years and is subject to change each year.

  • Number of Campers Per Room: TBD

  • Roommates: Rooms are assigned by age & roommate requests. Roommate requests must be mutual, If you don't have a roommate request, you will be placed in a room with someone near your age. It will be a great opportunity to meet someone new!

  • Linens: Not provided. Bring linens or sleeping bag, pillow, pillowcase, and a towel

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE FEE?

INSTRUCTION, EQUIPMENT, & FACILITY

  • Equipment Needed: All campers must bring soccer cleats, shin guards, athletic shoes and a water bottle.

SOCCER BALLS

Nike Soccer Camp Balls can be purchased during registration. Players can choose between a size 3, 4 or 5 ball, which will be shipped out once the order has processed.

TRANSPORTATION

Transportation is not provided. Campers are responsible for getting to and from camp on their own. There is no supervision before or after camp hours so please make arrangements to pick up your child on time.

MEDICAL PROTOCOL

Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

SEATTLE UNIVERSITY CANCELLATION POLICY

Our standard cancellation policy applies to this camp 14 days BEFORE camp. Due to the nature and demand of this camp, no camp vouchers will be issued within 14 days of camp. If you have to cancel for any reason, please notify our office well in advance. Thank you!

    Advance notice of schedules and overall camp organization. For example, upon registering I was sent the wrong camp information. One day of the camp the field was double-booked with the boys camp. The initial camp information led parents to believe the camp was full 4 day program when in reality the camp was 2 half days and 2 full days.

    July 26, 2021: Masao did not go to camp and has been doing online learning for the last 18 months and so it was great to have him back at a camp he felt comfortable with. The camp counselors remembered his name and that made him feel welcome. He liked all of the games and the environment was not competitive, but fun.

    July 14, 2018: The fan was a great suggestion. My daughter raved about her experience at camp, from the food, to the field time, to watching the World Cup, to the down time in the rooms! The schedule was great, mixing some fun and down time with some focused soccer instruction. She is already hoping to attend next year. One of the highlights was watching the coaches play against each other! It was fun and educational.

I also learned great soccer, about ID camps, Seattle University, juggling school sports and college, playing for a D1 school.

The schedule was great, mixing some fun and down time with some focused soccer instruction. She is already hoping to attend next year. One of the highlights was watching the coaches play against each other! It was fun and educational.

  • Organized camp and prepared coaches

    July 19, 2021: Super well organized camp. Well prepared coaches who were positive and connected with kids. Kids were actively engaged in soccer the whole time and group sizes were small which was great for participating in scrimmages and also made camp very covid safe.

    This might be the best girls soccer camp in the country. The girls worked hard and had a ton of fun, real skills and the awesome feeling of working with professional people.

    I would highly recommend this camp for anyone. It gives you an idea of what the college level will be and you have an amazing time. Not only do you get an idea of what the level is but you also get an idea of what the coaches are like, and what the environment is like.

  • Great to see what playing at a DI school would be like

    August 13, 2018: Besides playing soccer with older, very talented soccer players, the best part was meeting the head coach of Seattle U’s RedHawks women’s Soccer, Julie Woodward. I also learned great soccer, about ID camps, Seattle University, juggling school sports and college, playing for a D1 school.

  • Inclusive and encouraging

    August 2, 2021: She really enjoyed how personable the coaches were right from the start. I think this allowed other campers to also be open and social. She felt it was very inclusive and everyone was encouraging.
