Camper Reviews

  • 5/5.

I was extremely impressed by the Nike ultimate camp in Hayward. It was very well run and organized. The coaching staff was quite knowledgeable and easy to work with. I thought that the camp did a great job of being both intense and fun. My two favorite parts of the camp were the early morning workouts and the night games. The optional morning workouts, run by Geoff Rexroth, were a great way to start the day, wake up, and get some extra practice. I was also really pleased that the morning workouts were optional because it gave me the opportunity to self asses and determine whether working out more would be beneficial or detrimental. Alternatbvely, the night games were an excellent way to decompress, practice what we had learned that day, and to connect with teammates. I loved the level of freedom we were given at the camp, as demonstrated by the optional morning workouts. It made me feel independent and in control of my own progress in ultimate. Speaking in terms of the actual training we received, I really enjoyed the way the camp was formatted with rotating group stations focussing on different aspects of ultimate with different drills. We would often do small scrimmages after focusing on a new strategy, this was really useful and helped me to remember and better understand the training I had just received. I would absolutely recommend this camp.
